This increasingly popular chain is consistently praised for its family-style atmosphere (hello, early bird specials) and the abundance of the generously portioned and decently prized BBQ meat. It's got some local recognition as well. Fat Jack's has won the Philadelphia Magazine "Best Barbeque" in 2006, with an enthusiastic nod to its hickory-smoked spare ribs, caramelized from a dry rub (which consists of paprika, cayenne and brown sugar), with optional Kansas City-style sauce. Fat Jack's specialty is BBQ, Southern style: The hickory-smoked pork and beef ribs, Texas beef brisket, Memphis pulled chicken, Carolina pulled pork. There are also heaping platters of the classic diner fare, plus New Orleans jambalaya, grilled shrimp sticks, chili, a sweet potato pie, and Southern sides (try the cornbread). Fat Jack's also carries Jones soda. Delivery available ($1 fee is added to the order).

ALI5A12 - 06/05/2008I love love love fat jacks...their food is the best bbq i have ever had and i usually don't even eat meat but for them i make an exception....even the sides are good my fav is the potatoe salad...n yes the one cook in there is HOTTTT but be careful bc i heard he has a crazy girlfriend...I LOVE FAT JACKSS

Not to step on anyone's toes but the baby back ribs at Chili's are as good as anyone's and for that they should've been included in this survey.No other BBQ comes close to Fat Jacks
Stewxr7 - 05/30/2008Fat Jacks has the best BBQ in the Tri-State area. Excellent food and service. I used Fat Jacks to cater for a family event and boy did they save the day. All of the food was consistent and cooked to perfection. It's been a few weeks now and I still have family members calling me for directions to go to Fat Jacks. A+ in my book. You guys are great!!!!
