Attention, meat lovers: This is for you. If you're the kind of person who can't make up his mind about what to order at a restaurant, then check out the Triangle's first Brazilian steakhouse, Rio Churrascaria. Here, try out not just one meat, but as many as a dozen on a good night. Begin by ordering a glass of Brazilian wine and taking in the atmosphere. Warm sponge-painted walls and large pieces of South American artwork give this place a cozy and upscale feel. The meal begins with a trip to the salad bar, which houses unusual options such as smoked salmon and gilled veggies. The main part of the meal is served tableside -- meat runners carry skewers of everything from chicken to filet mignon right to your seat and serve the meat (or meats) of your choice. If you want the chance to try everything, get there early; the later you go, the more likely that they'll have run out of certain meats.

POOR EXPERIENCE

We made a reservation for a party of four plus a child with a high chair. We arrived 5 minutes early. We waited 40 minutes for our table. They came to us and said it was because we needed a high chair. However when we were sat, we were put at a table for 4 with no high chair. Their was no way to get a high chair any where near the table. We were almost sitting on top of the people at the tables on both sides of us. So I held my daughter and did not say anything. She was great. She was in a wonderful mood all night. However, I was not. It is all you can eat, which would be great if they would come to your table with food. They are suppose to bring side dishes to the table. Even after asking for some we never received them. The server took our order and brought drinks and then we did not see him until we got the check. I had to ask another server to tell him we needed the check.
The food was OK, but not great.
I could go on for a few more paragraphs about the bad food and service. I will never return. Raleigh has another restaurant that is a Brazilian Steak House (Brasa). It is so much better - Not that it would be difficult to be better than this.Add Comment.

It was fun, different, and good food. There were six of us, and I found it was an easy place to have a conversation. There's no background music, and because the food is brought gradually, everyone has time to talk (instead of diving into their food).
INCREDIBLE
I can't wait to go again. The picana (~)--the house specialty was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the money!
The best
I have traveled around the world and love food and life for many years. Rio in N.Raleigh is great. The staff is what i live for. First this man who looks like Richard Gear greats me with so much happiness and warmth right off the bat I was happy. The food and sevice were perfict. As an older lady reading the write ups "I know not every experiance with reservations are good" don't listen to the dumb stuff, this place is great.
Great Food and Service

I recently enjoyed a business dinner there and was very happy with the quality of the food and the service. This was my first churrascaria experience and I'm hooked.
Very fun!!
Well, to start off the night, my girlfriends and I were seated at the bar due to the wait on a Friday night. After being greeted by the extremely handsome bartender, we were served martinis off of the large martini menu which were fabulous. The bartender engaged us all in conversation, and we pretty much wanted to spend the rest of the evening sitting at the bar. :) The meal was fantastic, and very accomidating, since my girlfriends and
I are not big meat eaters. The salad bar was unlike anything I have ever seen and the service was outstanding....If you want something fun and exciting, yet professional and accomidating, try it!Very Unprofessional
My family and I (12 in all) went there to celebrate my dad's birthday. We made reservations for 7:00 p.m. and were not seated until almost 8:00 p.m. When we were just about finished, the manager came over and asked us to leave the table because he had another party waiting. At an average of $50.00 per person (including drinks and dessert) plus tip,you would think we could at least relax and have our coffee and dessert in peace. I have never before heard of any restaurant manager asking any parties to leave to reseat another table, especially since the the theme of this restaurant is to eat as much as you want. Needless to say, we will not being going back. And we have lots of friends and family that have been appalled by this behavior. Too bad. The food and service were excellent.
