Glad I finally found this place a friend of mind told me they had great pizza and really good beer to go with it, two things you do not usually find togher and she was totally dead on! I love their dough, there is no doubt that it is fresh and they have such a wide variety of cheese, another thing you don't see in your average pizza place. So I give Intermezzo 5 stars good food and good beer, that is the way to win me over!

I think I am in love with this place. I believe this place is going to be my once a week filling station. I have been to Intermezzo 7 times in less than two week. I keep bring my pals so they too can enjoy then many satifying dishes. Last night I tried the chicken and veggie pasta and WOW, what a flavor filled bowl of pasta the cream sauce was our of this world, not sure what's in it but it was fantastic. And to top off the great pasta this place has a great wine selection too. This little joint just keeps suprising me.

I went to this restaurant last night with 3 friends. The pizza was quite good - however we may have been overly positive about the taste of the food after waiting over an hour for it. We ordered two large pizzas and about 40 minutes later the waitress came to tell us that one of the pizzas "had gotten stuck to the thing and the cook was going to start over. It shouldn't be but about 5 minutes." We didn't know what "thing" the pizza had gotten stuck to, we tried to ask her to bring the other pizza, but she walked away without hearing our question or offering any apology for the delay. With our glasses (and our stomachs) completely empty we waited another 20 minutes with no attention from the staff. After sitting for an hour she returned to tell us the food should be ready soon. We asked what happened to the other pizza we had ordered - it too had gotten stuck to the 'thing'. Turns out the 'thing' our pizzas were getting stuck to was the pan. She also commented they were short staffed and were having a difficult week. Our pizzas arrived an hour and 15 minutes after we ordered with no apology or offer to comp anything from the waitress. The pizza was good, but I will not be going back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I eat out at least 3 times a week at locally owned restaurants in Charlotte. Some of the restaurants are very nice with white table clothes and other serve you at a picnic table. This was without a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced and will never return.
