Home Made Mashed Potatoes???

This was by far my worst steakhouse experience!
My friend and I visited CP on a friday night and were met by next to raw steaks (we ordered them medium) and cold/dry mashed potatoes. When we said something to the waitress, she told us the potatoes were home made..
If that were true they must have been made several days prior to our visit. Seriously, I've had better mashed potatoes from a box!
I had a bad feeling going into the place.. the dinning room was empty on a friday night. Thats never a good sign.
Carolina Prime needs to hire new cooks. Ones that know how to cook a steak.
I will say the dinning room was very nice and very clean. But its easy to keep a place clean when you have so few customers.

Please heed my warning and take your business elsewhere.

If you want the best steak you have ever tasted, then Carolina Prime
Steakhouse is the place for you. The atmosphere is great, and service can't be beat.

Where's Beef & Bottle???? One of the oldest and THE BEST steakhouses in Charlotte and it's not even on the this list. WTF????

Carolina Prime is an amazing restaurant- owned by the name people who created the Tryon House. It has an AMAZING french dip, fresh fish daily, and the steaks are melt in your mouth. Stop by and say hey to George.
