Known as the brewery for Schlafly beers, the Tap Room offers food, music and beer (naturally). Housed in a historic warehouse, the brewery has three bars to accommodate your tastes. As you walk in, the bar on the right has an upscale sports pub feeling and the left bar is adjacent to their dining room that serves excellent food. The bar upstairs is host to various bands during the weekends and has a beer garden feel to it. Tables are set up wedding reception-style and a bar offers a variety of liquor. Downstairs, patrons can grab a bite in the dining room. The food consists mostly of sandwiches and burgers with fries on the side. Complement your meal with one of the seven Schlafly beers made on site. Patrons can view the brewing process, watching the gigantic metal tanks of fermenting beers as they eat. If this doesn't hold your interest, head over to the bar area and play some pool or darts or just stare deeply into your alcohol and contemplate the wonders of the St. Louis microbrew. For those who appreciate a great pint of beer, many visits are needed to sample all that's offered.

It's about the beer and more
With over 40 different beers brewed throughout the year, there is always a good selelction of styles available. The Tap Room offers two different environments for ite patrons: a restaurant and bar for conversationalists or the other sdie of the house offers music and a game room.
The food is selected from a basic pub-style menu or chalkboard specials that change periodically. If you are lucky enough to be there for a festival, which occur regularly, both food and beers match for a special event.
Finally, their second location, The Bottleworks in Maplewood, offers the same great beers with a different venue and expanded menu.Add CommentGreat Beer and Great Burgers

The proprieters of this establishment appreciate good beers and great tasting food. I can't figure our what makes their burgers so darn good (the grain mustard helps) but they are very tastey, juicy and cooked to order. They have innovative and unique desserts. Speckled Dick was on the menu a while back -- it was too much for me to handle. Instead try their other English pudding.
No need to search further for great brews and burgers.
Both under the same roof! Damn!!food

not just pub grub... very fine up scale specials as well as best fish and chips in town
