Best Chinese Restaurant in St. Louis Area!!!

When I visit my mom in Kirkwoood, I always go here for good solid, inexpensive chinese food. The portions are big and you can share them with others. This place should have been #1. I wish we had this restuarant near me in the city.

my family has been coming here from Ofallon Mo. for over 17 years and their is NO BETTER Restaurant any where. Sesame Should have been voted #1. The people that voted the other chinese places higher have never eaten here before. every thing is A-1 Flavor and Quality.

Best Chinese in St. Louis

When I crave Chinese food no other place will do but Sesame Chinese Restaurant. I have tried just about everything on the menu over the years; but I keep coming back to the potstickers for an appetizer (a must try), and the hunan beef, which can be adjusted for you level of spice. Their crab ragoon, and eggrolls are excellant as well, as is everything on the menu. I have traveled with my job and had the pleasure of dining at many restaurants, and when it comes to Chinese I have had no better than Sesame.

I've been eating there for more than 10 years and haven't found anywhere I like better for Chinese food. Try the Governors Shrimp or Governors Chicken!

I eat there at least three days a week for lunch. The MONGOLIAN BEEF is amazing. I never get bored of their food. You get so much food for your buck. It would be more expensive to eat fast food than to eat at Sesame. I also recommend the HOT BRAISED CHICKEN! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

People Who Have Obviously Never Eaten "Good Chinese"

After reading these reviews, it has become apparent to me that not very many people have eaten good "Chinese". I will, however, agree that Sesame excels at service. On the other hand, their rice is a bit dried up and the food is bland. If you really want to try good Chinese, then I would suggest St. Louis Old Chop Suey located in South Saint Louis between Chippewa and Kingshighway. That my dears is excellent "Chinese Food".

Sesame is an excellent Chinese restaurant! The food is always wonderful along with the service. We have been dining there for numerous years and it is our restaurant of choice when we visit the Saint Louis area.(We live near Sullivan, MO)There are many menu choices from standard Chinese fare to hard to find dishes. I am partial to their Moo Shu Pork with plenty of plum sauce and my husband loves their hot and sour soup. They also serve scrumptious crab rangoon and shrimp toast along with many other yummy dishes. Being frequent customers, the hosts and hostesses are extremely courteous greeters and seaters and the service is quite prompt. The waiters have almost become mind readers and remember our orders and favorites from prior visits. Always the service is great and your water glasses never run empty. This is one of the best restaurants regardless of category and again one of our favorites in the metro area. If you are looking for an excellent Chinese restaurant or you are looking for something or somewhere different to try, Sesame is the place to go. For dinner, two people can dine with appetizers and portions so large you usually need a carry out bag for around thirty to thirty-five dollars. I highly recommend Sesame to everyone and do not think you will be disappointed at all with your visit!

Great chinese restaurant

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Sesame Chinese Restaurant. I started with a plate of crab rangoon; the filling could have been more strongly flavored, but the wontons were wonderful, and I could tell they were fried in fresh oil. I had the Garlic Shrimp, which was just the right amount of spicy, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. My friend had the Hunan Scallops, and again, they were perfectly cooked. They weren't even close to chewy; in fact, they melted in your mouth. They were wonderful. The service was attentive and consistent. The restaurant was clean, and the prices very reasonable. I plan to go back.

My husband and I love the House Special Beef. It comes out sizzlin on a platter and always gets the patron's attention. You've got to try it!
