    When there for our 37th Wedding Anniv Dinner…Big mistake. Steaks were very poor, service was good. Everything overprices…will not go back.

    I have to agree with Overrated and Overpriced - if you want a good steak in St. Louis and you are willing to pay for it, go to Sam's in South County. Ruth's Chris was a terrible disappointment - I went with out of towners and the tables around us were so loud and used such disgusting language (frequently) that we asked to move. The food was decent but overpriced for what you get. Everything was a la carte which got extremely pricey and the sides weren't great - good desserts but not worth what we paid for them. I like to give restaurants second chances but this one isn't worth it when there are many places to go that have better ambience, food and prices.

    Boy, they charge you for everything here, treat their customers like you are doing them a favor for eating here and then get insulted when you tip them accordingly. For a BANG FOR YOUR BUCK, try Sam's or Tuckers instead. The atmosphere is much nicer and the food is sensational.

    The first time I visited this restaurant was at its original New Orleans location (a hole in the wall on Jefferson Hwy out in the Parish) as a young Marine officer. I was amazed. Back then the food was excellent (if the ambiance a but ...ah...rustic). I have visited several other Ruth's Chris sites over the years and each one has been top notch. You cannot go wrong here.
