At Gingham's there's no flashy decor to define the ambiance, just a bar and dining room where older folks feel at home chatting away about world events on weekday afternoons, college kids can stumble in to a late-night meal after the bars close and extended families can meet to catch up on Sundays after church. The monstrous menu offers traditional breakfast items like pancakes, french toast and all kinds of omelets, while classic lunch choices include burgers and sandwiches. Those in search of supper would be smart to order the meatloaf or fried chicken. The St. Charles and Mehlville locations are spaced out enough so that just about anybody has easy enough access to Gingham's great breakfast experience.

Nothing else like it

One great important thing to note is Gingham's has also been recently rennovated and improved, but it retains its perfect "comfy" feel. It is open 24 hrs/day, one of the few places that still allows smoking (seriously, smokers are limited nowadays, so this place is great for this too!), and you really don't feel like an outsider when you walk in. Definitely not for the snooty - only for the relaxed and chill of crowds ;-) The food is even better than before too!!! Great to study, for after a night out, or with the family on Sundays (which is now smoke-free for the sensitive type).

Ginghams!!! the next jack in the box
an617543 - 07/23/2008This place is doing many good things... from the house salad with house dressing that taste like liquid gold... to the buffalo chicken melt and you can not CAN NOT forget about the 25 minute fried chicken and catfish. Ginghams has been an icon of my summer and will always have a place in my heart. I love this place so much I created a facebook group and voted for Ginghams at least 100 times. Ginghams Thank You and your welcome... Shout out to Mervin!!!

I am pleased to see that the new owners are investing in the place and are redecorating. If you haven't been there in the last couple of months, it has really changed. It looks great.

brunetteboy666 - 06/01/2008I frequent this fine estabishment a lot and I find it to be my favorite place in all of the St Louis and St Charles areas. The managers and owners really know what they are doing. They hire perfect waitresses who really know their stuff. The interior is also fine and the window blinds are top notch. Go Ginghams!!

breakfasteater77 - 05/31/2008Cheap eats that are very tasty. I frequent Ginghams after late night casino runs. It's a convenient location to boot. If you have not eaten here for a while, you need to stop by.
