An explosion of sound in Laclede's Landing, The Big Bang provides a welcome alternative to the club scene. You'll find plenty of floor space, two full-service bars, a smattering of tables and seasonal outdoor seating and a small stage where two baby-grand pianos face each other. People of all ages and backgrounds gather to listen as two phenomenal pianists pound out every song you can name. Don't be surprised if you hear 'Dueling Banjos' before the night is through. As they play, the performers joke back and forth, and audience participation is strongly encouraged. Be sure to bone up on your obscure singer/songwriters, because there are contests throughout the night. After some drinks, the crowd joins in a giant, off-key sing-along, with a few adventurous dancers mixing things up.
