Many Kansas Citians seem to think Skies is one of those gimmick restaurants, fine for out-of-towners and Hyatt hotel guests. They're missing a great restaurant. Skies serves food as elegant as its views. On the 43rd -- and highest -- floor of the Hyatt Regency Crown Center, Skies makes one complete revolution each hour to provide diners with a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. The restaurant's outer wall is composed of 72 plate-glass windows, and the arrangement of the tables means that once seated, diners can see just one or two other tables (and the entire city at their feet). No wonder Skies is regularly cited as one of the most romantic restaurants in town. The menu offers plenty to love, too, with its variety of beef, seafood and chicken entrees. A perennial favorite is the prime rib, which is done well at Skies. -- Anna Foote

Very poor service, food very average at best, cocktails okay. If you get stuck back in the corner by the service bars, the waiters bump your table when they pass by. Choose another place to spend your money.

The food is ok but what you really are paying about $100/person for is the view... the menu doesn't have alot of choices and the wine/cocktails are overpriced as well.. your best bet is to go for a drink and save your money for better food somewhere else.

The atmosphere is definitely what you pay for. The service was extremely poor & the food was awful & very high priced.
The prime rib was extremely fatty, not properly cooked & slapped on top of a salty, small pile of mashed potatoes.
No soup or salad is included & you get 4 little pieces of vegetables.
The view was nice, but I would never return.

Very overrated.

Was taken there for my Birthday we were very dissapointed with the service never refilled my water never got any bread and they were out of many items. I thought the menu was very limited with nothing special to offer I could not believe they had spinich artichoke dip I can get that at any resturant. The service was slowwwww and they weren't even busy it was a wednesday. they had cool whip on there dessert how cheap!! and it didn't come out with the raspberry sauce.
They were right there with the check and right back to pick it up.
the view was great but the rest terrible

It's a fairly good restaurant and prices are not exorbinate. Limited menu selection. Better than average service. Main attraction is view.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday/Valentine's Day. I enjoyed the best pasta I have EVER had - every time I have pasta somewhere else now, I HOPE it will be as good, but of course it doesn't come close. This is not a cheap place to dine, but the quality, quantity, and tastiness of the food - not to mention the breath taking view! - make up for the price(s). Guys, the ladies will love you for taking them here on a date!! If you're looking for somewhere very romantic and unique to go, the Skies is it! PS I suggest going at night (city lights are gorgeous).
...Did I mention the pasta is GREAT!?!? :)
