Consistently the best

We've been to Ruth's the last 5 years about 2-3 times each year. The cost is high - but we also only go on special occasions. The service has NEVER been poor or even average in those 10-15 trips, even with different servers, etc. The steaks and seafood have ALWAYS been great. Compared to the other steak houses in KC this one is one of the best. We've had good seaks at other dining establishments but always at some point in going "other" places we've been disappointed not once but multiple times. Consistency has been what has kept us coming back to Ruth's.

Overpriced, so-so steaks

For the price they charge youwould expect much in service and atmosphere. the steaks are okay but, I've had just as decent of a steak at a much lower price. Their steaks don't stand out as superior and certainly shouldn't cost what they do.

The atmosphere was lacking, service was so-so, and I've honestly had much better steaks. You would think for the price the steaks would be amazing, but no. The two of us thought they were mediocre. You will find a better steak elsewhere....Don't waste your time/money. I suggest Capitol Grille, 40 Sardines, and Bluestem for a nice place/steak. (In my honest opinion, I’ve had better steaks at Long Horn)

Great service, tough steaks

I took my wife there for our thirty-first wedding anniversary on August 3, 2005. Stayed at the Southmoreland (a treat) and looked forward to experiencing some Ruth's Chris steaks. I had heard nothing but rave reviews and so I was optimistic. We ordered ribeyes with all the trimmings. The service and the presentation were exceptionally fine but the steaks were even tougher than Jess & Jim's 32-oz porterhouse (I've had 4 and all competed closely with the mule leather in my Olathe Boot Company work boots). Everything else was great, but if the key ingredient, i.e. the steak, is bad, I can't give more than 2 stars. Everything else, including appetizer, salad, potato, desert and coffee was a 5, but the steaks were, unfortunately, not even forgettable a year later.

You would never know that this is a chain restaurant.

This restaurant is so far better than the others, second is not even close!

The service is as good as it gets, the food is superb, and the wine list is strong.

They are definitely customer service oriented.

Go.. It ill be a great experience.

The Best quality, the fairest wine prices, superb service.. the others in town are merely trying to achieve what Ruth's Chris does on a nightly basis.

For those interested in quality, their meat is by far the best.. and they have the service to match.

Best Steak in Kansas

This is one restaurant that will leave you craving that special steak for months afterwards. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable for friends or a date. There is no other place in Kansas that I have found that makes their steaks so juicy and tender that they almost fall off the fork! I would reccommend this be a priority if your in the mood for great food.
