  • Hard to find but worth looking for

I visited for the first time with another couple after the Bodies revealed exhibit. I didn't even realize this great restaurant was in Union Station we wanted something different and looking inside the door the bar area just pulled us right in. We decided to stay in the bar/lounge area and enjoy a bottle of wine and sample the 4 and 5 course tasting. The wine was 1/2 price on Sunday's we ordered 2 of our favorites since they offer wine doggy bags and the price couldn't be beat. We each ordered the small plates since we had never been there before and this was a way for us to sample everything, although 2 of the 5 course tasting would have been perfect to share between the 4 of us. The service was friendly and I would recommended enjoying your meal in the bar just to watch the bartender go up and down the ladder and see the wonderful cocktails they are making. I would definitely recommend this to everyone I know, it's just a little hard to find inside the station but worth looking for. There Happy Hour menu looked fantastic we will definitely be coming back on Friday's to enjoy that

  • Try the Happy Hour, you can't beat it

We ate at this wonderful restaurant twice. The first time, we'd just arrived in Kansas City and weren't really hungry so we sat in the bar and had a perfect Martini and really enjoyed the inexpensive happy hour menu. The second night, we both ordered off the small plates menu so we could try a little of everything and it was more than worth it and it was Sunday so our bottle of wine was 1/2 off . Now we try and stop by once a week for the great Happy Hour menu.

  • Great Place to celebrate anything

This is one of the coolest restaurants in Kansas City. Very elegant, classic and modern. Service and food are fantastic and our meal was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. We celebrate all of our special occassions there and have never been disappointed

  • This is the best kept secret in KC

The Happy hour is fantasic and their 5 course "tasting" menu along with Sunday 1/2 price bottle of wine just can't be beat. It's worth the trip to Union Station just to have a martini in the bar. It's the best place to go for dinner before the theatre it starts the evening off just right.

  • Very Disappointed

My boyfriend and I went here for our 2 year anniversary and it was the worst dining experience we have had in two years, primarily because of our waitress. She seemed to cater more to the customers who were drinking alcohol (and we were not) and at one point we waited for about 15 minutes for refills. I ordered my steak well done, however it came out burnt! When the waitress FINALLY came by, I had to stop her and let her know that I just couldn't eat it. She said she could get me another one or she could just box it up and take it off our bill. But, rather than give me a chance to answer she walked off with my plate and my boyfriend's plate (without even asking him if he was done..and he wasn't!). Why would I want to box up a burnt steak? The soup we had for starters was good, but she acted as if it came with the meal and didn't mention it cost extra--we found this out when we got the bill! My boyfriend did ask to speak to the manager and he was apologetic and cut our bill in half, but that surely did not make up for the way the rest of the evening had gone. To give credit to the other staff, they were friendly, but we just had terrible service. And, though we were given $20 off our next meal coupons, we will NEVER choose to go back to Pierpont's....what a disappointment after having read wonderful reviews!

This is one of the coolest restaurants in Kansas City. Very elegant, classic, but modern at the same time. You'll feel like you've stepped back in itme. The food is good, but nothing outstanding in my opinion. Service was fantastic and our meal was comped as it was a very special occasion!!
