Good Old fashion BBQ

I thought they had bbq beans to die for. the ribs weren't bad and the sauce had a destinct flavor. As to the staff, nothing out of stood out. In regards to being rude I think Gate's employee's at the 40 highway location are about the rudest. Myself love the "old time" atmosphere and can do without the bar/music/lights and just want good bbq

I'm not sure how/why this place came up 7th on the list of best BBQ. I've tried it (the one on 95th) twice and both times it was mediocre quality and fairly expensive for what you get.

Having tried bbq from all over the country , its nice to know that we have one of the best ever right here in kc. LC's give us what BBQ joints are all about. Not a huge chain of fast food bbq like we see in many of the bbq restraunts today. LC's is a true KC BBQ JOINT, nothing fancy, just slow cooked bbq at its best. Huge portions and great wedge cut fries and slow smoked beans . In Kc where sauce is king, LC holds his own with his spicy blend. If you have not tried it GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you have a bad expierence, let LC know , he is know for making things right and keeping his customers satisfied...

I was told it was a great place. My son and I stopped and got sandwich When we got home and started eating,it was FULL of FAT. I'll NEVER watse my money there again. What a ripoff!

LC's has great tasting Bq the 95th st location is just as good much cleaner and staff is more friendly

The food is unbelieveable!!! the best I've had in a long time, maybe as good as Bryants, and I don't think anyone will ever top them, The proprieter is a gem, but the counter help is rude and snotty, : ( and that my friends is why LC's will never be #1.

This establishment is a sleeping giant... One day LC's will be legendary. LC truly has the secret method to the best barbeque! Whenever I visit KC, LC's is my last stop on the way out. I buy the meat and sauce in QUANTITY and pack it in ice chests for the trip home! If you try it once... you will be addicted!

I am from k.c. and live in Dallas and dream of l.cs all the time and have family mail it to me i love it and cant wait to see Mr l.c to let him know that he is the best and he knows his costumors and is very nice when ever i do come home.
