Perched above the famous KC Masterpiece on the Plaza, this Japanese steakhouse remains somewhat obscure. Most of the BBQ-loving masses pass by this hidden spot, unaware of the party about to happen. Upstairs, you're transported to the Far East, while the chefs begin their knife twirling and chopping magic on steaming tables right before your eyes. The symphony of the food world, this art of preparation called Teppanyaki can be enjoyed by all ages. Choose anything from the traditional steak to teriyaki salmon to the celebrated lobster tail. It's the perfect spot for a special occasion, but the expert chefs warn, "Don't try this at home." -- Laurel Koppelman

I had the unfortunate experience of eating at this restaurant? on my birthday in August, 2008. The food had no taste, the sauces were so watered down that they had no flavor, the show? was pathetic, and the final $40 per person cost was certainly not worth it. I only drank water and they did not even refill it for me. Special birthday dessert was a crummy slice of pineapple with a umbrella in it and a dumb candle in a glass stand. The birthday picture that they too cost $2. (What a insult to a paying customer on his birthday). It is a complete surprise to me that this place has continued to stay open on the plaza and rob the diners of their cash for VERY LOW QUALITY AND SERVICE. These people are not at all friendly and should either change their quality or get out of the business. NEVER VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT IF YOU HAVE ANY TASTE AT ALL.

I've been eating at the wonderful restaurant since 6 months after it opened. The food is alway great (a wide variety to choose from) and the cooks are very entertaining. Even on really busy nights (prom, etc.)the wait is well worth it! The BEST kept secret on the Plaza!
