Area dining guides often name d'Bronx one of the best delis not just in this town, but in any town in the country. Ask d'Bronx devotees why, and you'll get answers as varied as their appetites. Some swear it's the near-perfect reuben, or one of the other sandwiches hot off the grill. Other folks will tell you it's the d'Bronx sub, a cold sandwich mix of meats and cheeses, or one of the 20 other subs on the menu. More than a couple people insist it's the deli-style pizza, available by the slice or by the pie (up to a 30-inch monster size). Even vegetarians find lots to rave about. And pretty much everyone agrees that the apple pie is a good way to finish off a meal. Figure in the reasonable prices and the big-city deli atmosphere of the 39th Street location, and you've got the makings of a winner. -- Anna Foote

    Cheese either was old or they changed it. I said if I get sick, I will know that they didn't change the cheese.

    I am a New Yorker living in the Kansas City metro area, this pizza will do. It's not exactly what I'm used to, but still decent. U-Gene's in Riverside, MO and near KCI it 1,000 times better and I believe he's from NJ.

    went there two weeks ago orderd a pizza. the pizzas overreated being from newyork i realy felt the pizza was not realy new york pizza. sauce to bland and the service was prety slow staff vey rude.

    The sandwiches are good and the pizza is ok, but not good enough to go out of the way for. The staff sucks! Very unfriendly. This attitude is the closest thing to NY that i've found there.

    Huge menu. Have been once or twice and the food was good. I hear the pizza is good but someday I must go back , check out the menu and try something again to sample more

    The original Bronx has been overated as far as food goes for years. They thrive on a rather plastic attempt at "Atmosphere." The new Overland Park location lacks even that. They must have deli fans turning in their graves the world over. Order the corned beef sandwich and take a piece home and use it for a "What is it" blind fold game.     Moved to KC from Chicago, i know what great Pizza should taste like.Debronx is right up there with the best of them. 39th street and
    the Crown Center locations are 10 star restaurants as far as i am concerned...

    Da Bronx deli continues to be one of the bright spots in Kansas City sandwitch fare. Pizza is the best New York style in K.C. With the different styles of pizza, it's unfair to judge pizza generically. As a Northland resident, do get tired of driving to O.P. for their excellence. The Crown Center location seems to be closed a lot.
