A new building did wonders for this '50s-style greasy-spoon joint. The servers are still lightning fast, but it's no longer because they're slipping on a greasy floor. Taking time out to clean from top to bottom once a week makes you feel better about a 24 hour diner, too. Chubby's is always full. Daytime is for families and neighborhood regulars filling up on cheeseburgers and fries. Come in late afternoons if you want to sit with a bottomless cup of coffee and listen to classic tunes on the jukeboxes located at every table. After the bars close, the line forms at thefront door as party-goers loudly order breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are famous and the coffee is always fresh-brewed. The steak and eggs is also a popular choice with the protein-starved. If you don't like meat, you probably don't want to eat here -- the only nod to vegetarians is an iceberg lettuce salad. -- Kate Cagley

meganmarie200569 - 02/25/2008Went there twice this weekend..Place is a lil dirty, would be great if in a diff location..Food was great on Saturday but on sunday i found a red "thing" in my sandwich meat, they took it off the bill which they should of..Same homeless man standing in front of the building asking for change both days..Again could of been cleaner

vitojoe17 - 05/25/2006Chubby's has the BEST pancakes, awesome French Toast on Italian Bread, the omelets are huge--stuffed with lots of meat and veggies. Come and see for yourself how amazing this burger joint is, they can do it all!!!
