Famous Bar is an anomaly: half blue-collar, half silver spoon. This crusty hole-in-the-wall manages to attract an eclectic assortment of revelers each weekend. The long, dark bar opens up at the back to accommodate additional seating and pool tables, but it's standing-room-only when a band is performing. Bloody mary lovers, be sure to check out the extensive list that includes the Caesar, made with fresh clam juice and Cajun spice.

    I saw Serapis there Saturday night, too! One of St. Louis' best bands. The Famous Bar is such a neat place - I like the wood decor.

    From the moment you walk in the door, you feel as though you are among friends. The decor is warm and inviting, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are terrific. It's a great place to hear the best of the midwest music. Heard Serapis there on Saturday, they are great! If youre anywhere near the Chippewa/Kingshighway area, check out The Famous Bar

    Awesome Apple Martinis and the bartenders, Mike, Henry,Evan and Mark are awesome! They made it a lot of fun!

    My boyfriend and i have been going to Famous Bar for over two years now. This is by far the best bar is St.Louis! The drinks are perfect, they always have outstanding live acts, and they have the best bartenders in town! I would recommend this bar to anyone who wants to escape the clubs, run from the college bars and just kick back and have a good time! If you go be sure to tip big to Mike and Henry, they are awesome!
