Best Steaks & Garlic Toast!

I have heard plenty of good reviews from everyone and bad reviews online. The place is exquisite! Booked a dinner for 7 with absolutely no wait at 6pm on a Saturaday. Everything was timely and the waitress was wonderful. The steaks did take 30-45min but definately worth the wait. Even thought we were busy talking about how great the Garlic Toast was! mmm....

Murray's Silver Butter Knife Steak didn't disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The steak is designed for 2 but could easily be enough for four. The garlic toast is incredible especially with a good cocktail. The best part of all, however, may be the service. Marcia was our waitress and she was just terrific, very friendly and nice and always right there when you needed her. Can't miss for a special occasion.

the steak was Ok but over priced. you can get a better steak at wildfire in eden prarie for 40% less.

For years I've traveled the world for work, and since I loved steaks why not compare the best steak houses and the steaks of the best hotels. My request at each was always the same. Tell the chef to fix me his absolute top steak and I would tell him honestly how his compared with the other top chefs/restaurants.

Most always the chef would come out to see how he rated.

Murrays is now and as long as I've known was the #1 Best Steak Restaurant in the world. I live in New Hampshire and make sure any chance I get to include a stopover in Minneapolis. For the shear pleasure brought by Murrays if nothing else.

Never had to wait to find a waiter or waitress, they were everywhere. Great steak, too!

Best for 28 years

I first visited Murray's 28 years ago when visiting the Twin Cities from my home in Chicago. I never forgot the silver butter knife steak and visited Murray's every time I came to town. Six years ago I was offered a job transfer to Minneapolis and the first thing I thought of was how close I would be to Murray"s. I am from Chicago ( we know steak) and I have never regretted the move. Still the best and the recent updating/remodeling just makes the restaurant ready to move forward for the next 50 years without loosing any of its charm. Ask for Sophie, she is the best server in town.
