Market Bar-B-Que is a family owned business established in 1946 with years of experience serving St. Louis style pit smoked ribs and chicken. The chicken and ribs are slowly smoked in a wood-burning brick pit; which, of course, is the secret to the authentic barbeque flavor. Some rib restaurants serve their ribs buried in sauce, which can hide a multitude of sins. At the Market, ribs are Au Natural because there is simply nothing to hide, however if you do prefer a little sauce for your ribs Market will provide you with a few tasty homemade choices on the side. All menu items are available for take out as well.

Bill520836 - 08/22/2008Growing up near Lake of the Isles, about once a month I would drive downtown to pick-up a large order of ribs, fries, and toast for the family dinner. It was love at first taste, and continues today. Best ribs in the Twin Cities still.

Tried the 'eat-street location twice, not impressed with the food or service'. Dave's is a lot better but BIG DADDY's Saturday BBQ on university and Dale in STP has got them all beat ! !

hydro1968 - 06/09/2008The Market Bar B Que has the best ribs and chicken around. By far, superior to all other BBQ I've had. If you haven't tried their chicken wings yet, you must. They are outstanding!! Also, your choice if you want the sauce....but the sauce is very adicting.

Tempswer - 06/06/2008THE MARKET BAR B QUE HAS THE BEST RIBS IN THE COUNTRY. THE OTHER RIB JOINTS IN THE TWIN CITIES HAVE REPEATEDLY TRIED TO COPY WHAT IS REAL BAR B QUE AND ONLY COME UP WITH POOR IMITATIONS THAT NEED TO BE CONCEALED WITH A BATH OF SAUCE.

dianac5437 - 05/14/2006Had dinner at the 394 location tonight. Ribs were very dry and tough. French fries were cold and soggy. Interior looks shabby and dirty. Very disappointing!
