A Northville institution before Northville was cool, Guernsey Farms (or simply Guernsey's) is justly renowned for serving down-to-earth, mainstream American food, and doing it better than most. If you're not the meat-and-potatoes sort, sandwiches are nigh as rewarding. The broasted chicken may be the best thing on the menu, though, and meals come with enough accoutrements to fill you up. Be sure to go between meals once in awhile and have something from the dairy; Guernsey's own butter pecan ice cream has won practically every popularity contest in town. In warmer months, the grassy area out front is usually sprinkled with kids and adults relaxing under the big burr oak, eating ice cream.

Genesis1616 - 05/30/2008If you're sick of all the Cony Islands and Big Boys and Denny's' restaurants this is the place to go for really good food. The staff is very friendly. The ice cream is right there they don't have to send out for it making it fresh and really good tasting as well they even have their own unique flavors like Novi Mint honestly best place to go.

l2jconsig - 01/03/2005Ice Cream is the BEST - butter pecan - whole pecans! Diner has good basic food for a reasonable price. Where else can you go for breakfast/lunch/dinner & have a ice cream cone to go? A going out TREAT.
