Located in an old Shoney's, this interior-in-progress eatery has easily gained a dedicated following. OK, so the paint job has been botched in a couple of spots and a few of the rooms are crammed with odds and ends. But the encyclopedic menu, homemade corn tortillas and selection of chip dips (including one with refried beans and a cabbage/chiles combo) have drawn a wide range of patrons from bikers to yuppies. Items are divided for easy reference -- a section for chicken, beef, fajitas, seafood and more. Some items are on-the-borderline familiar: chicken with mole (bittersweet chocolate) sauce and chile verde; pork in tomatillo sauce with peppers, onion and spices. Others, like botana camerones, raw prawns with mango, cucumber, and pico de gallo, seem downright experimental. But leave room for the deal of the century: flan custard or sopapilla chips with whipped cream for dessert.

Yummy
I fell upon this place a couple years ago after picking up a keg for a party, we were hungry and it was right there and I am so glad to have picked that place that day cause it's my favorite place to eat now. I love love mexican food and this is definitely a winner to me!

La Hacienda is a wonderful, warm inviting restaurant. The food is ample and delicious. The interior has been decorated by Mexican craftsmen of the highest order. The owner is always welcoming and smiling. You see a mixture of people here, Mexican, gringoes, families, business people, young and old. A group of us comes here almost once a week for their wonderful lunch selections. The neighborhood has been coming at least three years for a Christmas get together. La Hacienda can handle a table for one or a room for a crowd!
Great food and service
We eat here about once a week, the food is that good!Homemade tortillas (corn and flour, both excellent), wonderful innovative and traditional dishes. They let us bring our own wine, and charge no corkage fee. Try the seafood soups, or the shrimp fajitas, or the best quesadillas in town.
