Which is the better way to celebrate victory or soothe defeat -- bodacious burgers or hot-and-tasty chicken wings? At Padonia Station, this debate ends in a draw because these pub grub staples are in such delicious abundance. More than two dozen varieties of burgers are available, and all but one come in both 8- and 16-ounce sizes. The lone exception is a lineman-sized tribute to former Colts great Artie Donovan, who was known to finish the 24-ounce triple-decker in a few bites -- duplicate his feat and you'll get your photo on the restaurant's Web wall of gluttony.

If wings are your thing, order in quantities up to 100 in a baker's dozen of sauces including Cajun, jerk, Buffalo garlic and the ominous-sounding "wings from hell." Padonia Station's appetizer list is massive -- multiple "are-you-ready-yet" server visits aren't uncommon. Other options are jam-packed sandwiches and subs, barbecued ribs, gourmet pizzas, steaks, seafood and pasta entrees.

If you're seeking liquid refreshment, follow the loud music or the din of the crowd to the large bar off the main dining room. It's like Chuck E. Cheese for adults -- lots of pool tables, pinball machines, basketball games and video delights, not to mention beer, wine and other libations. Live music, disc jockeys and sports-themed radio shows are frequent occurrences, and the happy hour buffet, a greasy afterthought at most places, will satisfy your hunger. -- Pete Kerzel

  • Love the bands

    Review rating : 5out of 5   DilMaverick - 05/15/2008

Love to see live music here, just don`t like the cover. Bartenders are great the best place for service with a smile. Food is great for a sports bar, love the half price burgers on sunday. A great variety of bands come here from hard rock Tripewire to cover bands like Vs The Earth to dance with Jah Works. All in all a fun place to see music. Don`t forget the sports tons of flat screen to see your favorite teams.

  • What a Sports Bar Should Be

    Review rating : 5out of 5   BaltimoreTina999 - 05/13/2008

This is NOT a boring corporate chain cookie cutter sports bar. This IS a great local sports bar with awesome Wings, burgers and the jumbo lump crabcake is yummy. 2 Huge Giant screens, Flat screens everywhere you look, if your team is playing you can see it at Padonia Station.

My family & I luv the Crab Cakes at Padonia Station. Mike Tee is the greatest bartender on the planet. I like to go there on Saturdays and see the bands. I always have a good time hanging out in the bar.

just make sure there are no rips in your jeans. Even the smallest tear in fabric they won't let you in. Kind of a supid rule, but they stick to it.

  • Everything's Just Average

    Review rating : 3out of 5   sithich - 05/01/2005

Service is average to slow. Food is bland and average across the board. There are so many better places to go, why go here? The Stil has far better food and service. Heck, even Chili's has better food and service--whuch really should not be thte case since it's a chain, but it's true. I keep coming back to Padonia Staion every year or so, thinking that I must have soemhow misremembered the experience, and each time, I leave with my memory refreshed that it is indeed mediocre. I'm going back to The Still, and staying there.
