Be prepared if this is your maiden trip to Double T Diner, one of several offspring of this Baltimore family favorite. Just perusing the huge menu can take awhile (though servers are patient enough to make several "Have you decided yet?" visits to your table).

Double T is heavy on chrome, art deco visuals and piled-high comfort food. Paying homage to Mom's mantra about the morning meal being the most important of the day, breakfast is served 24-7 at some branches of this silvery oasis. Dinner options range from blue-plate favorites like hot turkey sandwiches to Italian, Greek and seafood specialties. And if you're not in the mood for a milkshake, you can sip a cocktail with dinner instead. Late at night, don't be surprised if someone orders french fries slathered in rich, brown gravy (none of that dipping on the side for real diner aficionados).

It'll be tough, but try to save some room for dessert. Double T's sweet concoctions will have you bursting at the seams. Since variety is important to diner denizens, visit other Double T locations in the area. You'll find the same comfy, upholstered booths and CD jukeboxes in each. -- Pete Kerzel

    I have been working for the diner for 3 years now (pasadena/glen burnie) and honestly they are the best people to work for and they do care about there diners and the food they serve. The kitchen staff is fantastic and the sautee chef is incredible. You cant ask for a better restaurant they are the best all around from there menu and there staff =] so come see us

    This is one of my family's favorite places to eat. The Double T breakfast special is the best! When I have relatives visiting from Louisiana they always want to go eat pasta at Double T.

    I HAVE WORKED AT DOUBLE T DINER FOR ALMOST 11 YEARS. IT IS BY FAR THE CLEANEST RESTAURANT EVER. ALL OF THE FOOD IS FRESH. TURKEY, BEEF, PASTRAMI,CORNED BEEF......... ALL COOKED FRESH DAILY. WONDERFUL PEOPLE TO WORK FOR. THEY EARNED EVERYTHING THAT THEY HAVE.

    I've lived in MD since 2006 and use to go to the one in Ellicott City which was AWESOME! I recently moved to Severn and ate at the one in Pasadena and it was HORRIBLE. Their service is absolutely terrible and the food was just as bad. Not to mention the price was OUTRAGEOUS! For me, my boyfriend and my son it was $45 BEFORE tip! They charge everything separate so it adds up very quickly. Not worth the money or the time. The one in Annapolis is just as bad also. Very rude there.

    The food is VERY GOOD! I think the person writing 'but a good to poor place to eat' on 2/1/07, may have burnt their taste buds with the smoking they're doing (has to be a smoker, since they were happy there was a 'smoking roo'). Therefore,causing them to actually miss the real flavor of the variety of food offered!

    DBL T, your parking lot says it all to the people pulling in ... anticipating everything that's great being offered inside!

    The T is a great place to get a meal but for the life of me have not figured out why they put tomatos in their green beans, lima beans and use so much lemon on everything else.

    They have a smoking roo, which is nice..Service is with a smail, the food is just so-so average..but a good to poor place to eat..prices keep going up..
