this is the best place to eat steamed crabs. i live close to elkton,md. which is around 50 miles from bill's. the distance is not a problem when you get the best. i have been coming there for three years and maybe one or two times the crabs were not the best. if you go somewill else you will be making a big mistake. i have been eating crabs for 50+ years. there is alot of other places that are presteaming their crabs. you're never receive a presteam crab at bill's. trust me please once you try bill's crabs you're hooked, which is good.

I have been a resident of Middle River Maryland about 18 years. I have been a steamed crab lover all my life....so needless to say.....I have been to alot of different crabhouses all over Maryland but once said and always will say, "Bill's Terrace Inn is Top #1 crabhouse/restaurant in my book!" I have not found any other crab retailer any better.

Steve, you do have the best crabs in Maryland. I see that some of the negative remarks were some time ago. I did not experience that kind of service the last couple of times we ate at MR BILL'S. As Texas Tom said, you can't fix it if you do not know that its broke. You can't see everything because of the amount of customers that you serve every night. May be a complaint box would help. Keep up the good work and keep those great crabs steaming. GM TOM

i just want to let you know that greg w. in o.c. made my visit to your rest. one the best experiences my family has had in all of the 40 yrs. we have come to the beach! he went out of his way on a nite you were so packed, to make our visit the most memorable,joyful,pleasant nite in a long time. o.c. lucked out on getting such a great person to greet vacationers and locals to the best crabs and food o.c. has to offer. thank you so much and much success.....the nemec family

Crabs r great, service stinks

We had to quit eating there. I love the crabs and the seasoning, but got tired of being shoved around like cattle and growing old waiting for a table. Barmaids aren't friendly and the waitresses do tend to forget about you. It's a shame. Reservations would be a great idea. We've switched to Crab Quarters. They do take reservations, the waitstaff is better and the crabs are good (eat in).

Crabs very Good, Service BAD

My parents,their friends and I ate at Bill's last night. My mom and I went to put our name down for a table of 5. They said 35-40 minute wait which turned out to be an hour 15 minutes. If you are a non smoker and can't stand smoke near ur seafood or food eat elsewear or come back in Feb when the md non smoking restaurant law kicks in =). We decided to wait at the bar and order up some drinks. THEY DONT RUN A TAB. The bartender ladies are so bla. If you are new eating there trust me they wont explain to u, u can order starters there or give u a menu to look at while waiting. We got a round of pina coladas and YUCK, it was like a drunken frat boy made it. Too slushy, more watery less flavor. After being disappointed at the bar and getting hungry our name was finally called, but, that "GREAT HOSTESS OWNER STEVE" that everyone says is so great, put us down for 3 people when i heard my mom say 5 very clear and even show him the number on her hands. So we had to wait another 20 more minutes and he could had cared less. We finally got seated two hours later and yes the crabs were very worth the wait, however, our waitress only got our drinks and disappeared. We had to rely on the bus boys who really made up for the service. Those boys work very hard and deserve all the credit for holding the place down. They showed me where the restrooms were (very clean at least) and got my napkins and my orders,the tables orders,the odds and end. The waitreses are so not friendly especially if they can tell you aren't an Essex local. The crabs were hot and yummy and fresh. I loved the spices as well. Since we ate late we were lucky that not many people were lighting up and the place died down. We didnt leave til 11:30. We couldnt find our waitress for the bill so we had to get another waitress who was rude. Steve was seeing all the this and just sat there and did nothing instead of trying to be accomidating. I'd go back again if I feel i can tolerate the horrible service and wait

they have the biggest and best crabs in all of maryland. mr.steve is the best host/owner. the seasoning is one of a kind that makes you keep drinking those buckets of beer!!!!!!!

Good Crabs - Bad Price

It's an ok price for the crabs because they were pretty good. But, when it comes to soda and beer the price is to high. They make a pretty good profit on them.
