If you're a superstitious type, you might think of avoiding this tacky-cool haunt located on the 13th floor of Baltimore's historic, turn-of-the-century Belvedere Hotel. But then you'd miss the charming, back-in-time, bird's-eye view of historic, lamp-lined Charles Street and all the gorgeous, old Georgian-style landmark buildings. Besides the view, there's a whole lotta shakin' going on here -- literally. Live local music from the likes of Mama Jama, Mambo Cambo, Jah Works and Kelly Bell make this a good stop for groovin' and checking out the newest names on the Baltimore music scene in a laid-back, upscale environment. The 13th Floor is nothing like the mega dance clubs in B-more, but more of a hip lounge that packs 'em in. Happy hour runs from 6-9PM on the weeknights when the place is open with two-for-one drinks. Eat before you ascend the elevator, though. Noshes at the 13th Floor are limited to brick-oven gourmet pizzas.

    I went for the first time on Friday 1/28. Apparently different nights yield different live bands. Friday night is reggae night (my favorite). Live reggae, a gorgeous view of Baltimore perfect if you want to take a lady to have a good time but without all the rowdy crowds. Don't get me wrong people were gettin' down at this place, but it didn't feel huge it had a smooth comfortable feel to it. I'll be a regular from this point forward!

    A couple of years ago you had a "Fetish" night at the 13th floor. I wish you had this event again.

    I must say that I myself was very disaponted to see such unfair reviews of the lounge. "The 13th Floor" is a great spot to relax, drink , & enjoy music with that special someone.

    Friday nights rock at the 13th floor! A great place to scoot, scoot, scoot your butt all night long to the reggae beat. I felt horrible the next day though.

    This is one one baltimore's hidden gems! Fabulous views of the city and drinks to match. The band was awesome, loved that latin beat. Nice crowd, but a little on the old side. Definitely upscale, but reasonably priced (about $5 a drink with a $5 cover). Plenty of seating if you get there early, but it fills up quickly, so beware. I would definitely reccommend the 13th floor for anyone who wants a good time without all of the thugs and brats that you find at other clubs. Go there and see for yourself.
