Mobtown aficionados tend to prefix comments about Squire's Italian Restaurant with the phrase, "I've been going there for years." Open for close to five decades, it's an institution. They tend to end those comments with the phrase, "and I've always had an excellent" (fill in the blank). You may fill in the blank with any of a long list of standards. Run by Bob and Lorenzo Romiti, the pastas, pizzas, bruschettas and antipasti are uniformly excellent. They are known for the small touches; garlic bread that is close to perfection, extreme generosity in pizza toppings and an eggplant parmesan that virtually melts in one's mouth.

Consistently good food
I have been going to Squires since 1973 and even thought they changed their sauce in the 80's the food is still good. The cheese manicotti is excellent, the best in baltimore. Most manicotti is small and not fully stuffed. Squire's cheese manicotti fills the noodles and is a delight in the mouth. The pizza is also good. Check out their specials, pizza night $7.70 for an extra large cheese Su, Mo, Tu, W, & Thu. All you can eat spaghetti, a salad and a drink on Thursday for two with a tip is $25.00. Family friendly and they give new crayola crayons to the kids. No germs and no lead paint in the crayons!

I was born in 1951 in Dundalk right up the road from Squire's. I know I cut my teeth by gumming on Squire's pizza crust! It was a really special treat to get a "pizza pie" in two cardboard plates tied with string for a dollar!! I have sinced moved away but still have family in Dundalk, and we always meet at Squire's for the pizza and all the other delicious food on the menu. The service is superb, and the owners are wonderful honest people. I can't imagine how they keep their prices so reasonable and always have fresh and plentiful ingredients in all of their meals. Give this grand institution a try.....You won't be dissapointed!!!
Carol (a "Dundak" gal at heart}The best !
I've been going to squires for years. The service is great and the friendly warm atmosphere keeps you going back for more.
MaryAlways good
I've been going to Squires for over fifteen years. Nothing fancy here; solid food, good service and a warm welcome. Can't compete with Little Italy but the pizza is some of the best around. Good food for the money!
Restaurants

Quite easily the best pizza in Baltimore is from Squires in Dundalk. The resturant is a great place for a family outing or a nice night out. The palce is bright, clean and huge. The bar is small but cozy, and the prices are hard to beat. Very rarely they will host live music after hours. if you can catch a band there, do it. last month my band, 'High Stakes', played to a packed house there and we were well recieved.

The best in Italian cuisine, also serves American specialties. Scrumptious in-house made desserts, very friendly atmosphere and staff. And, add in the fact that the prices are such that any pocket book can afford!!
Italiano

Consistantly good food, famous for pizza but also serves good pasta dishes, eggplant parmesan, garlic bread etc. Owned and operated by the same family for over 40 years. Casual atmosphere, especially in the bar where many of the customers know each other. Friendly service with a smile and a wink Entrees are priced from $7.00 to $20.00 and are worth it. Discount steaks on monday night, pizza on tuesday, shrimp on wednesday and all you can eat spaghetti on thursday. I eat out from 3 - 5 days a week and usually spend $10.00 to $15.00 per meal. Often we will go for a more expensive meal but if you know where to find it you usually don't have to. Anything ethnic, spicy and hard-to-identify
