Just across the street from M&T Bank Stadium, Paradox takes full advantage of its industrial-area setting. Unlike many of the clubs in and around the city, Paradox can stay open far past 1:30AM -- last call at most city bars. Uniquely situated under the Russell Street Bridge (just off of MLK Boulevard), the club (which lacks a liquor license) caters to insomniacs and a younger, very diverse crowd. The fact that no alcohol is served doesn't mean it's not present -- the rules are BYOB until 2AM. So carry in gin, buy the juice, order some nachos at the concession stand and catch a game of live hoop.
Paradox is split into three rooms with different vibes -- and DJs -- in each. One room offers murals and city art along cinder-block walls, and actually features a basketball hoop if you'd like to dunk a few. Multicolored geometric patterns drift across the walls of another room, all while bumpin' house or hip-hop spins battle against the sounds of trains running behind the building. Live music is also offered; just be prepared to pay up if you head in late -- there's a cover charge after 1AM.

Hot!!!

It was unbearable as soon as you step in the door. The heat was ridiculous and the AC was bumping. It was so hot people were standing in the smoking section outside for relief. The people were cool and the music was good. Just prepare to be hot and sticky.

OFF THE CHAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
I went with someone who I met the same night and had the best time ever! I've been going every Saturday for the past 7 mths FAITHFULLY! Only beef i got is that they don't play enough GO-GO and they be hatin on people who NOT from B-More. Not trippin though, I come to party and that's exactly what I do....P.S. price is steep!!!!!!!!!
MY GOD! this is an AWFUL club
I went once and i will NEVER EVER go again. Maybe I had my hopes set too high. I went with my best friend who insisted that this club was what's good. It was HORRIBLE. The place itself was ghetto. It was cold and full of ugly guys and bold a** lesbians. And I KNOW that it wasn't a gay night there. It was just a terrible club experience. If you like nice places and want to feel like you are going out and not to some high school basement party, DO NOT i repeat DO NOT go to Paradox.
