The round, green-and-white Jimmy's sign is famous in Fells Point, since it's long been a popular spot to breakfast. Best described as simple, good and old-fashioned American diner food, Jimmy's boasts loads of breakfast offerings. An authentic Baltimore landmark, Jimmy's is known for its down-home cheap meals and hustle-bustle diner-like atmosphere. At this greasy spoon, big portions and free-flowing alcohol served all day have become trademarks.

It's not just about breakfast either -- Jimmy's serves a plethora of big burgers, other sandwiches, and dinner platters that all come with generous portions of fries and slaw on the side. Whatever your hankering, rest assured that you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner any time of the day, and that the dining room is always full with an eclectic conglomeration of patrons. The best part about Jimmy's, in addition to the food, is that you can grab a six-pack to go or try your luck with a lottery ticket. Unique at the least, it's a must-do Baltimore favorite. -- Rachele Lawton

  • Cheap and yummy

I first went to Jimmy's a couple of weeks ago, on recommendation from this site, b/c I'm new to Baltimore and needed some place to eat that morning. B/c of the location I thought it would cost a lot of money, but my bill was cheaper there than at IHop, and the pancakes just melted in my mouth. Service, despite the fact that it was SUPER busy when we went, was very personable. It really gave us the feel of small town mom and pop diner in the middle of a bustling metropolis.

Some of the new items at jimmy's are really great (codfish cakes, chicken shish-ka-bobs) and very reasonably priced.

  • Terrible

    Review rating : 1out of 5   iamblaquepride - 07/21/2006

My co-workers and I visited this greasy spoon just to have a nice breakfast. Instead we found a died fly that was cooked in one of our food. Management shrugged it off as "It just happens sometimes." Their attitudes were so what. That is the last time I eat there.

  • A Place To Take A Crap

    Review rating : 1out of 5   alison43434 - 03/12/2006

The food here is lousy. That must be why it was so popular with the characters on Homicide,Life On The Street. Pepto Bismol is available at the cash register.

One of the few places avaiable in Fells Point when you gotta go NOW.

  • Best Eatery in Fells Point

    Review rating : 5out of 5   gshl2b - 03/21/2005

Jimmy's has always served the best. When I worked at Maryland National Bank when it was across the street, we could always get the best hamburgers ever made.
