At first blush, Fletcher's looks like any other corner bar in Charm City, but the confluence of Bond and Aliceanna streets holds more than shot glasses, draft beer and lively recaps of the latest exploits of the Ravens or Orioles. While Fletcher's in some ways personifies the neighborhood tavern -- a jumping juke box, happy hour specials, pool tables and a thriving billiards league, plasma screen TVs -- appearances can be deceiving.
Some of the hottest, hippest bands make their way onto Fletcher's stage, turning this Fells Point gathering place into a popular off-Broadway destination. After all, Fletcher's is owned by the same folks who run DC's famed 9:30 Club. Many acts, like the White Stripes, Good Charlotte and Crystal Method, stop here before or after their gigs in DC. Follow the music that spills out onto the street and you'll also discover cheap, tasty pub grub house specialties include Diablo chili, French fries laced with Old Bay and a colossal chicken sandwich. -- Pete Kerzel

love it!

Fletchers is awesome. It helps to promote new bands in the area and they are great. the people who hang out in there are super friendly and very welcoming and want to make sure you have a good time.and to the idiot who said you caught herpes from the toilet...get an education...and dont sit on public restroom seats! fletchers is so much fun and i think its great for the community!

There a couple of bad reviews posted for one of Baltimore's best and most legendary hang-outs--Pretty much the placed turned chaotic for a few months when some staff members developed serious substance problems--They are all gone--Check it out now--New GM, New Staff--same old rockin' Fletchers.
beware with your credit card

I visited Fletcher's with friends that have been there many times. We were not only treated incredibly rudly by the "GM" (he made sure to point this out to us) but when a credit card was left at the bar, he answered our phone call - "F*** off, come get your card when we are open." My company included the manager/owner and mangers of Black Olive and Capitol Grille; and with a party of 8 persons who work in the business, it is safe to say our tab was most likely one of the highest in the bar. At one time we frequented the bar for after hour drinks; needless to say we will pick up the card and not visit the bar again.
HERPES ON THE TOILET

I GOT HERPES AND CRABS FROM THE BACK BATHROOMS , I ALSO SAW 8 PEOPLE LEAVE THE BATHROOM WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS
hell yeah
fletchers is an awsome ass place to go see a show. its small enough to where no matter where you are your going to see and be close to the band, yet its big enough to where there can be a decent size crowd there. i have been many times to see shows and i will be there again on may 4the of 2004 thanks alot. and i highly recomend fletchers. there is a bar downstairs too but i'm only 18 so i cant go there yet lol but it always sounds like people are having fun

Ttas333's Review

I had the pleasure of witnessing one of the finest musicians at Fletchers-Remy Shand's concert was BLAZIN!The acoustics were precise and Remy's musical artistry which is a combination of jazz, funk, blues, soul and symphonic harmony will go a long way with those who truly appreciate music. However,at Fletcher's concert bar it's standing room only, the concert was sold out,so there I stood waiting at least an hour before Remy Shand took the stage. My feet still hurt at the memory. For those with health problems I wouldn't recommend going to a concert at Fletcher's unless you plan to see a podiatrist afterwards.I told my friends it should have been called the Remy Stand concert instead. It was misleading for those who visit to Fletcher's was a first because Remy should have been enjoyed under better conditions.
