No typical brewpub, the Brewer's Art brings a taste of Europe (and plenty of Belgian suds) to a grand midtown townhouse replete with columns at the entrance and an inviting basement bar. Artichoke-and-cheese ravioli shares the menu with seared Alaskan halibut, grilled spring vegetable ratatouille with portabella and toasted pine nuts, so does waterzooi, a thick, creamy Belgian seafood stew.

Seasonal items are rotated throughout the year, so the menu always has new flavors to sample. Before, during or after your meal, hoist one of the homemade beers brewed on the premises. There's something for everyone's palate, from the rich House Pale Ale to the hoppy Ozzy to the smooth but potent Cerberus Tripel. Limited quantities of special blends are available, as are a selection of wines, whiskeys and brandies.

Below the main dining room sits a subterranean tavern filled with a bar, comfy chairs and well-worn sofas. The Brewer's Art draws an eclectic mix of University of Baltimore students, mid-city business people and adventurous drinkers and diners that is as varied as the potables that lure them to Charles Street.

    This is one of the most unique places I have ever been to. And then there's the food. All around an enjoyable experience. My son lives in Baltimore and this is one of his favorite spots. I can see why. Try it!

    I LOVE THE BREWERS ART! 1 BARTENDER DOESN'T MAKE THE BAR, MAYBE SHE HAD A BAD DAY OR GASP! MAYBE U WERE AN PRICK CUSTOMER. I ALWAYS RUN INTO TONS OF FRIENDS AT BREWERS AND THE MUSIC IS ALWAYS OBSCURE AND STUFF I THOUGHT ONLY I HAD HEARD OF. THE BEER ROCKS AND IS SUPER CHEAP ON MONDAYS. IT'S A POPULAR SPOT....FOR LOTS OF DAMN GOOD REASONS

    I HEARD A RUMOR THAT THE BARTENDER (A CHIC, SHORT HAIR, POOR ATTITUDE) DOWNSTAIRS , IS LEAVING SOON, BECAUSE, !GASP! SHE IS ACTUALLY GRADUATING... SHE ACTS LIKE SOMEONE WHO COULDN'T GET A GED. ANYWAY, PUT UP A NOTICE ON UR SITE WHEN SHE DOES GO, BECAUSE THEN MY FRIENDS AND I WILL RETURN.

    Love this place you can bring your Mom Grandma Upstairs to restaurant for Grate food Or go out with your buds downstairs to the pub and have same food layed back atmosphere Make sure you bring your Growler

    We only drank there. But this is the first upscale brewery I've ever seen. From what we could see, the food looked great. But the atmosphere in the whole place was great.
