After 35 years on Belair Road, Bo Brooks relocated in June 2000 to spacious new digs in the revitalized Canton area. Its location in the Baltimore Marine Center allows you to take advantage of waterfront dining with perfect sunset views, both inside and outside. A floating pier has seating capacity for 200 and is an island for themed parties and an open-air bar during summer.
Bo Brooks is for serious crab eaters who want the crustaceans dumped right on the table and don't mind dropping the broken shells in buckets on the floor. Options for those who don't partake in crab feasting are limited to sandwiches, including tuna, chicken and jumbo lump crab cake, and other seafood items like shrimp, calamari, oysters and clams.
As a classic crab house, Bo Brooks maintains the importance of a neighborhood feel and delivers hot, big blue crabs full of sweet steamed meat. Phone ahead to check out the prices and sizes for the day. To avoid long lines try to arrive before 6PM or after 8PM. -- Denise Iacangelo

How did this restaurant get the #1 rating? Unbelievable. The food and service is horrible

Hot food was cold, cold food was room temperature, they tried to squeeze everyone into the same corner of the restaurant. An overall bad experience. And where is Costas on the list???
Not any better

We visited Bo Brooks on 02/12/05. And obviously the place isn't any better. They should read these reviews. The crab cake was good, but the garlic mashed potatoes were COLD, the carrots were hard and I don't think they had seen the inside of a pot, and the food the other members of my party got was also disappointing at best, uneatable at worst. How did this place get #1 by AOL???
1/2 star and they're the best?
Terrible food and service. Their total rating is 1/2 of a star and yet AOL CityGuide proclaims them the winner of best seafood category! There's something bad here and it "ain't" just the food!
Never again

On Saturday my friend & I visited bo brooks for a nice afternoon of drinks & seafood. The service was awful, the food was cold and over cooked. Worst of all the staff didn't seem to care. What a shame. We will never be back & I will make sure all my friends know how bad it was.
The Worst

Went to Bo Brooks on Saturday 8/28 for dinner. It was the WORST experience I& my friend had. The service was terrible & the food was cold. When we complain, our server seem not to care. We won't be back.
Great Location Too bad about the food & Service
I went to Bo Brooks with my wife for dinner. We had heard great things about this restaurant and wanted to try it out. Bummer! They tried to seat us in a table right next to a large crab party. It was so loud we couldn't even hear out selves think. We moved our selves to another table and sat down. It took at least 15 minutes before anyone came over and asked us if we were being served. We ordered, the waitress seemed preoccupied and didn't get our drinks right. She took our orders and then we waited for the salads. My salad was not good, the dressing was quite bitter. My wife's salad, however was quite good. The mussels we ordered were very good. Then we waited for almost a half an hour for our entres. The waitress came over and said she would check on our food. She came back and said they had to re-cook my soft shell crabs for some reason. Shortly thereafter, the food arrived. My soft crabs looked like they had been sauteed and then forgotten about. They were not crispy at all but were served in a pile on my plate. You couldn't even tell there were three crabs until you moved them around with a fork. My wife ordered the Crab fluff. You could tell it had sat there and gotten cold and then was microwaved because it wasn't crispy but very soft and the lettuce and tomato garnish on her plate were as hot as the crab fluff. The cole slaw was mediocre at best. All in all, it rated a 3 out of 10 in my book. I gave them 2 stars for the view and location which are really great. But they really need some work on the food and service. It wasn't even busy at all so there was really no excuse for the poor quality of food and service. My Mother is coming for a visit and I was going to take her there, glad I went first to avoid the embarrassment.

horrible
As a life long Baltomoren I know good crabs when I get them.My Wife & I went to Bo's on Saturday 7/17/04 and from the time we walk in our experience was HORRIBLE. The hostest was snotty and sat us at a table we didn't care for and when we ask to be move she refuse saying the other tables were reserve.( we were their for over an hour and half and no one ever came to be seated at the table we wanted.)however, we went there for the crabs. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT they were HORRIBLE & over price. Don't waste your money. We will not be back.
WKSHOTGUN's Review

On Bel Air Rd they served crabs with pepper instead of Old Bay. This should be a felony in MD. Go to Costa's or Cantler's.
