"You can get beer anywhere," says one satisfied customer. "I come here for the burgers." Sit at the bar at O'Sullivan's in Somerville and you immediately feel like a local, chatting it up with your neighbors and the grinning bartender. Before even glancing at the menu you already know what to order. Not only because of the tall, juicy burgers, enormous fries and heaping onion rings surrounding me, but also because the guy next to you won't stop raving about each one of them. There are a million burger varieties charted out on the menu, but of course, you can invent your own as well. Looking over to the other end of the bar, you can even spot the cooks working up your burger while you sip a pint. On a Friday evening after work, that's a tough combination to beat.

wheres the beef,,,,,its at sullys for sure
we went sat after seeing if for awhile on the phantom. not disappointed at all, even better then i thought it would be. it was large, juicy, tasty and cooked to perfection. the fries were to die for, large best anywhere for sure. onion rings were great too, everything is large here. oh yes forgot to mention great steak tips too. the owner came over and spoke with us and made us feel at home. first time there but it wont be the last, it will be on our regular list from now on. prices arent bad for a fantastic 1/2 pound burger either.

This is the best for quality, service, and atmosphere. Oh for the value too.
Fresh and cooked to order (NOT FRIED). Hand cut FRESH fries. Every item on the menu is very good and you will not be let down.
Sully's is simply the best in the east coast hands down.
YUMMMMMY!
My boyfriend and I come here alot and never had a "bad" burger..This place is one of our favs!..The burgers are to die for!
Stay away..espcl.
I read the reviews..true stay away from this place ..especially Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings when I'm. there..that way you don't waste the space...Ssully's is with out a doubt the BEST place for a burger...beats Bartleys hands down for food & service. Got cold draft too!
not up to other local burgers

The burger was big, not tasty. It doesn't hold up to the bugers
at Bartleys. Overrated!!claustophobic need not apply
Burgers are excellent in all their juicy unsqueezed beefiness. Extra charges for tomato, onion, etc. uncool but negligible. Everytime I go we get crammed into tables where you have to constantly lean in to let staff/patrons walk by. For someone who has to commute on crowded subway trains each day, I can do without that aspect of the dining experience. If you can overlook the cramped quarters, you should at least visit this place once.
Over Rated.

Burger is alright, I would compare it to something you get at McDonalds or Burger King, but you have to pay for the extras at Sullys. Everything is an upcharge, including re-fills on drinks. The clientele is a mostly local yahoos. The bar is really small and they pack as many people in as possible. You want a real Burger go to Charlies in Harvard Square.
