City's Best

1913 Poplar Ave
Memphis, TN 38104

River City's most rockin', roots-rock hangout keeps the music flowing just about every night of the week. From alt-country, twang and rockabilly, the Hi-Tone earns high marks for booking diverse musical acts. Patrons swing their partners on the retro, black-and-white checked floor in the club's main room, which originally supported the famous Kang Rhee Studio. Regulars tend to congregate at the bar or in the pool room, but don't be surprised if you jump, jive and wail right up to the stage.

Burgers and bar food from the limited menu will satisfy your tummy's cravings, but the music is the reason you go to the Hi-Tone.

Go there whenever Steve Selvidge is there solo or with Secret Service, or just having a good time. Great atmosphere - some pretty stoned people though - very eclectic. I go there whenever in Memphis.

I have been there a few times, the building is not much to look at on the inside, but the music rocks and the people who go there are very laid back.

I see some people here slamming the Hi-Tone and rockabilly - Isn't that just like Memphis? WAKE UP - this is where it started & what Memphis is known for! Dave & the Hi-Tone are doing a great job 7 we need to support them!
