It used to be known as Peabody's Down Under, though it's a far cry from Australia. (It was, however, down in the Flats). Now, located in the spot that was once the Rascal House, just off Cleveland State University, the place might as well be called Peabody's Downtown. Either way, the little concert hall still rocks. Best known for hosting acts on the cusp of stardom (think REM, Pearl Jam and the Red Hot Chili Peppers -- all are alumni here), Peabody's is where up-and-comers go to cut their stage teeth, and where rock fans head to if they don't want to break the bank. Who knows? Perhaps you'll one day say that you once caught Maybe Fu Manchu, the Misfits or Tech N9ne here.

    Horrible drink prices, unfriendly staff, uncleanly, no vibe, and 99% filled with nu metal and screamo bands who aren't talented enough to play their instruments. Skip this place if at all possible.

    Its a very "relaxed" easy place to hang out..if you like live music and things that rock you'll love it! Go there!!!

    On Fri. March 21st. the Columbus band SOMA will take the stage w/FREAKBASE. Don't miss this show! I've had the pleasure of seeing them perform several times and they kick some serious butt. Their sound and style is somewhat deverse and unique.

    Great place to stop in and unwind. The battle of the bands in the afternoon is a great way to spend your day in the Flats
