In the good old days, Euclid Beach used to be the entertainment nexus of the Waterloo neighborhood. But while the old amusement park is long gone, you can still have some fun here. Sitting half a mile from the shore of Lake Erie, the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern are two small but energy-packed concert venues where eclectic is the rule. You won't see any big names here, but you will see plenty of everything else. With shows that cross most musical genres, Beachland certainly provides most music fans will something to their liking. Although it won't likely be confused with a gourmet house, this spot nonetheless has enough grub on hand to quell your hunger pangs. Burgers, birds and dogs, as the menu says, are among the goodies you can nosh on while catching a show. Down a hearty burger with one of several of domestic or imported beers, and even a few microbrews. Old-schoolers will love the Pabst Blue Ribbon, Schlitz and Genny Cream Ale on hand, a departure for most bars of any kind. Given all that, even Napoleon might have rocked at this Waterloo.

Find a venue that hosts such wonderful artists? I have personally seen Gillian Welch & David Rawling, & Cheryl Wheeler at this venue! These shows were amazing!

I'm a native Clevelander and a hardcore concert goer, and I must confess that the Beachland is *THE BEST* place to see a show. Outstanding sound system, great times in both of the rooms (The ballroom and tavern), and an overall feeling of "the neighborhood" will leave you wishing you could spend every night there. The best room in Cleveland. Seriously.
