Just a stone's throw from the historic Amtrak station in Fullerton is Stubrik's Steakhouse, best known for its meat and potatoes fare and late night hours. The modest brick exterior leads to a classy dining room and bar full of dark woods and exposed rafters. Specialties include the Black and Blue, a top sirloin filet stuffed with chunks of blue cheese and smothered in blue cheese sauce. Other entrees are the 24-ounce Porterhouse steak and the rib eye, all of which can be topped with lemon-caper, mushroom or peppercorn sauce. Some evenings offer live blues music and the bar (open 4PM-2AM) stays busy thanks to the upstairs pool tables and dartboards. Regarded around town as a well-kept secret, Stubrik's is packed with locals who've been coming for years. There are plenty of college students as well, most enjoying their red meat around midnight. You wouldn't know it from most of the tables, but there are salads, pastas and seafood on the menu as well.

Gets too crowded
Went there with my girlfriend on a Friday night. Started off fine, but seeing as the place is so small it gets very crowded very fast. And since the tables are so close to the walkway, your table gets bumped by passers the whole night. If you get a booth your pretty much stuck for the night because its a hassle to get up and climb over other tables to get to the restroom. Our waitress was great, i can't complain about that. Some how she managed to check in on us often and keep our glasses filled despite the crowd. Music was ok, and food was ok. Its more of a bar than a restaurant. Stubrik's is not the best place to have an enjoyable sit down dinner on weeknights.

I dine out a lot with friends and dates and have seen and expereinced a wide variety of dining venues. Stubrik's has always been and continues to be my favorite spot if I want a GREAT steak and fun atmosphere. For the money, I vote for Stubrik's, the best in Southern California dining on a more casual basis. Bravo Stubrick's !!! My hats off to you cooks !!!
