This is one sushi house that breaks more than a few rules for the genre. The jukebox churns out rock-and-roll virtually nonstop, regulars at the bar puff away between nibbles and the most popular rolls are called the LSU Roll and the California Sunset Roll. None of which seems incongruous to this Warehouse District neighborhood, a conglomeration of nationalities, income levels and culinary inclinations. Impeccably fresh fish and a good selection of cooked rolls overshadow whatever non-food-related quirks the restaurant displays. Top seller among the latter is the "dynamite roll" wrapped in nori and rice and layered with salmon, tuna and tobiko.

Best Sushi in New Orleans

Rock-n-Sake by far has the best sushi in New Orleans. The music is fun and the whole dining experience is incredible. I have gone there multiple times and there is always a new tasty creation that is on the special board. The LSU roll is hands down, my favorite. The servers are fantastic and willing to help if you are a little iffy about raw fish. The fish must be the freshest in town. If you have not tried Rock-n-Sake, you are really missing out. I would rate it above excellent if I could.

This is a place for good sushi in a festive
atmosphere....it's in the upscale warehouse district so you get mostly locals...owners Duke & Tanya take special pride in fresh....no exceptions...
