Arguably one of the most unusual clubs in New Orleans (or anywhere for that matter), Mid-City Lanes throws a New Orleans party like no one else. Where else can you find college students,local working folks, seniors and trendy club-goers dancing and going for the 7-10 split at the same time? Check out Tuesday's Cajun theme, Wednesday's Swing night, Thursday's Zydeco night and the weekend blues, rock and R&B sets and revel in both the local flavor and the occasional celebrity sighting. If you're hungry, don't be afraid: Although it is a bowling alley, the kitchen turns out some excellent po'boys. Eighteen lanes of bowling make it a great venue for groups in town for a convention and a perfect spot for celebrating birthdays, engagements or simply being in New Orleans.

    Week after week John Blancher host great Zydeco bands on Thursday nights. Bands from southwest Louisiana to Texas for our listening and dancing pleasure. Thanks, John!

    very dark. old and smelly building. safety challenged neighborhood. there was a man in the ladies bathroom using water fountain when I walked in- we didn't stay.
