A few offerings -- pizzas, panini and pasta at lunch, New York strip steak at dinner -- are permanent fixtures on the menu, but the real draw at this Shadyside spot is the selection of "market-fresh" daily specials, written in chalk above the bar. Here, you can enjoy seasonal offerings available from wholesalers in the Strip District, home of the original Enrico's restaurant (made famous by the film 'The Bread, My Sweet'). Wines from small Italian vintners round out the menu. As the name indicates, biscotti and other fresh-baked treats are a specialty here, too. On Sundays, these appear on a brunch menu alongside quiches and roasted vegetables. This 40-seat eatery is packed during lunch hour, and on pleasant days, many take advantage of the shady outdoor seating. Who wouldn't?

Authentic food with a gourmet touch. Fantastic Wine list! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Perfect place for a night out when you want a good brick-oven kissed meal, nice wine, and not to hunt for parking. Bonus: If they have the bread pudding it's a delicious surprise. Tiramisu is one of the city's top two in our opinion.

We have dined at Enrico's many times and love the fresh pasta selections, fresh seaffod and my favorite is the rack of Lamb - all cooked in that wood oven. Excellent wine selection and an attentive staff. We always top off our meals with the Bread Pudding and cappucinno - not to be missed!

  • hands-down, a great place

It's an all-around quality experience...great fresh food (no freezers!), an impressive wine collection, and good, friendly service. The decor is modern, but the place has an authentic feel of Italy with the family pictures, etc. The staff and owners make an effort to make your visit a pleasurable one.
