If the biggest drawback you find with most burger joints is the kid-centered ambiance, this might be the lunch spot for you. Forget annoying clowns and giggling marathons, this is a bar where flasks can be purchased, troubles forgotten and terrific burgers eaten without rugrats whining for more ketchup. Double burgers are the way to go here; they're more a substantial meal than a tasty sandwich. A side of onion rings and a frothy beverage are highly recommended. Bring a designated driver and don't plan on being hungry again until well into the night. -- Cindy Harry

Still the Best in Town!!!!!
With other burger joints popping up in town, nothing can compare to Workingman's Friend for the best cheeseburger. I keep trying those other burgers, but they can't stand up to Workingman's double. Don't go there for the ambience, go there for the food. You will not be disappointed!!!
Add CommentThe Jonesville Tavern also know as THE BRICK
The best burgers are in a town called Jonesville which is south of Columbus Indiana. The locals call it the Brick. You have not had a burger until you have been there. The atomosphere is comfortable and everyone there is laid back. It is definitely worth a drive to this bar to just get a hamburger. One burger will definitely fill you up and they have the coldest beer in town. Highly recommend to anyone..........
Went back in time!
Went there about 15 years ago. Visted the city last week, was worth the drive. Nice to know that some things don't change.

where is the meat?
I went to the working man bar for two reasons one because I heard it was SOOOOO great and two because I live very near there. I had. all I can say is where is the MEAT?
the beef if you can call it that looks more like swiss cheese full of holes and the meat was crisp in the edges?
onion rings I found to be tasteless oily.
also this is mostly a guy hung out.
lots of beer and smoking going on.
and to top it all off
you couldn't get a waitress to my table.
