Bring your bib and a big appetite to this strip mall barbecue shop on the northeast side of the city. Easy-to-clean concrete floors and the rolls of paper towels that top the oak tables give an indication of the mess diners are in for. With a smoker that can cook up to 600 pounds of beef at a time, there's no reason not to pile it on high. Hefty half-pound portions of pulled pork and finely shredded beef brisket are sandwiched between oversized buns and smothered in Dick's tangy barbecue sauce. Rib fans are not forgotten: Tender, smoked half and full slabs are available. Meat can be ordered solo or as part of a platter and includes a selection of ham, turkey and sausage. Loaded baked potatoes, ranch beans, mac and cheese and coleslaw round out the meal.

I don't understand why people think this place is good BBQ. The meat is served on a buffet, out of bags... They are closing half of their stores. There pork is dry, and tastes like an ash tray.

  • Best BBQ in Indianapolis

I was born and raised in K.C. Mo ... I know my BBQ ..You have to be insane to think that this BBQ is anything but the best in Indianapolis! You know they have good BBQ when they have brisket, (all those who truly are BBQ fanatics know exactly what brisket is and how good it is) Don't go to a BBQ place and not try it ... It's the test of true BBQ. This place is awesome. I go to the one downtown and let me tell you, they have lines curving in and out of this place because people cant get enough. Seriously people the brisket is awesome and the bbq sauce is awesome. If it isnt bbq in KC it's this place in Indy. Dont miss out and try some for yourself ..you wont be dissapointed .. try their wings too!!

  • Smoke?

I like my BBQ to speak to me through the taste of the meat and smoke. Alas...the meat remained silent. If not for the sauce choices the pulled pork I ordered would have had a plain taste. Fun surroundings but I came for the food.
