The large, brightly lit dining room with green-and-white checkerboard tableclothed tables gives way to an open kitchen where diners can see meals being prepared. Shelves adorned with tomato cans, boxes of dried pasta and hanging copper pans give the room a homey feel, while one wall is dedicated to an Italian street scene mural. Chef Vitorio Moreno aims for an authentic Northern Italian menu. Pasta fagiole soup is nicely balanced with a bountiful helping of vegetables and beans. Wood-grilled pizzas have a satisfying crunch. The pear and parmesan ravioli in a pine nut and mascarpone cheese sauce is one of many cream-heavy pasta dishes.

Excellent
Have never had a bad meal here. Lunch, dinner whatever, the service and food are exceptional.
Add CommentI got sick

I got sick after eating at Tuscany's on Taylor. I used to eat there all the time but, no more. The salad was warm, the food was cold. I think I got a dose of tomaine.
A' Salute
The food, service, accomodations and overall experience from making the reservation to paying the bill.... BRAVO! When I go to Tuscany's, I look for the best and I find it. Each Tuscany has it's own flavor and balance, all of which have only invited me back for more. Perhaps, anyone who might be letdown, only forgot to ask for what they wanted. But, I'm Italian...so what do I know?...."A LOT"
Molly RedaLovely Lunch
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely lunch this past week at Tuscany. A first time for us, but not the last. From the salad to the dessert, everything was delicious. Wait staff extremely courteous, and accomodated my special handicapped needs.
Easy access into the restaurant. A rather romantic time for both of us.Authentic and enjoyable

The man I have been seeing and myself just visited the Tuscan region of Italy. The food ...is.... authentic and a pleasure. The ravioli with sage/ butter sauce is my favorite. One plus, for me, is here in the States they use salt and seasonings for their bread, quite unlike the bland bread "complimentling" the dishes in Italy.
rest.owner

Nice place for your eyes, but when it comes to the actual dining experience the food is rather just slapped together without concern that what you are eating should reflect the italian mistique of a true flavorful dining experience , where the food is a romance on your palate. Unfortunately, the preparation lacks that little bit of effort that would have made all the dishes more robust and exploding with flavor, instead of lack luster. My comments are based on two different visits.
