You make your way up the 700-plus feet of the Westin Peachtree Plaza knowing your eyes are about to be graced upon something special. But the majestic views of the capital of the south found in the slowly rotating restaurant are more awe-inspiring than anything you could have imaged from the elevator. Though a somewhat blah color scheme of navy and gold lessen the overall feel a tad, the picture perfect panoramic perspectives from your seat could make McDonald's Playland look like something from a Wadsworth sonnet. It's poetry -- with a kitchen attached to it.
And fittingly, you'll be at a loss for words upon the arrival of most dishes from the Sun Dial's modern American menu. Bland, uneven meals simply would not complement the romantic air very well. So you can enjoy the beef tenderloin with wild mushrooms or the seared North Georgia Mountain trout with a celery root puree as you look over the impressive skyline. For those of you whom want to take in the beauty of the skyline during the daytime, you can visit during their Sunday brunch and enjoy such things as Eggs Benedict with shaved corned beef or marscapone ravioli in a roasted pumpkin sauce. The beautiful plating and presentation -- not to mention the sweet live jazz in the background -- won't totally divert your gaze from the windows, but at least it gives you something else to appreciate when you turn your head.

Wonderful Birthday Experience
I went to the Sun Dial for my birthday celebration and it was a great experience. The customer service was exceptional and the food was just as good. I loved the view of the city and living in Atlnata the view gave me a new found appreciation for the beauty of this city.
Would reccommend this restaraunt for everyone from couples to a group having ladies night out. We had a great time celebrating my birthday in 2006!!!!Add CommentBeen Twice, and LOVED IT !!!
I loved the view, the food and service was GREAT. I did mention the view didn't I ? Also they will validate your parking if you park inside the Hotel.....Valet parking, tip the guy ok......I can't wait to go again, its expensive, so consider it a treat. Very impressive place.

The View
Found the view and atmosphere, with the live jazz to be awesome. The food was also much better than expected after reading the reviews before i went. Still highly overpriced but had good service from our waiter. Overall experience was good except the drink and food prices.
The View

The review by Demarco says it all. Go there for the view and drinks. The food is horrific.
