While Ruth's Chris is a cut above the Outback Steak House, it is nothing compared to the Palm. The Palm has the lush masculine atmosphere of the Yale or Harvard club and excellent waiters who are just formal enough. They have things other than steak, but there steak is one of the best I've ever eaten anywhere. They know how to cook it as it is ordered. Every time!

Excellent steak, salad, service, atmosphere, drinks....

Years ago we went there. I ordered a med. rare ribeye, and asperagus. The steak was perfectly prepared, and brought to me on the hot plate. By the time I was 1/2 way finished the steak had continued to cook, and sizzle. It was now well done, and so was my beautiful silk blouse which collected all the "sizzle". The asparagus was not cooked enough, and was tough. No thank you I did not enjoy watching my steak finish cooking at the table, and pop grease all over my blouse. We will not go back.

Our waitress commented that she is paid about $2 an hour and if she isn't tipped well, she will starve to death. Someone is getting rich at Ruth's Chris Steak House, but it isn't the staff.

Ruth's is my favorite restaurant for not only steaks but fresh and fabulous seafood. I get cravings for their crabtini appetizer that has that wonderful remoulade sauce. I love giving gift cerificates as presents because I know they will have a great dining experience.

I love steak and have eaten at all the best steakhouses---Ruth Chris' is by far the best of the best----For those of you who are floored by the expensive menu ----you can share all the sides---Also , their chicken dish is superb----Wonderful----The Ruth Chris salad is my favorite ---It is beautifully presented and is absolutely delicious--
The showstring potatoes are wonderful and could feed an army--
It is a place to go for a special occasion---YOu wont be sorry but it is expensive--

Too many times I've had to suffer through a cold steak at other steakhouses. That doesn't happen at Ruth's. The steaks are always hot and the platter really does sizzle. No offense, but Ruth's is in a totally different league than the lesser Outback ... I don't see how you could even compare them.
