Waitresses in classic '50s diner garb -- white smocks and sneakers, bobby socks and tiara cap -- dash back and forth. For breakfast and Sunday brunch, try the french toast made from thick, whole-grain bread deep fried to a crispy turn and covered with powdered sugar. There are also apple pancakes, gigantic omelets and biscuits that draw raves.
Lunch offers big burgers, salads and blue-plate specials. Among the hefty dinners are roast turkey with cornbread dressing and country-fried steak with such side dishes as six-cheese macaroni (for those not worrying about cholesterol) and the rather unusual honey-sweetened collard greens. Desserts also are nostalgic: strawberry shortcake, banana splits and even a black-cow shake (chocolate and vanilla, for those who aren't old enough to remember the term).

This place in the Nineties!
This seemed to be the place to be after hours besides the BEEF CELLAR to get a quick bite...BREAKFAST or FOOD to tame the lion of a hangover....LOL

After a great burger for lunch, I thought I'd treat my wife to dinner - meat & two. The worst meal we've had since The Collard Green Cafe. The Country Fried Steak was tough. My wife had never tasted dressing so awful. Most places offer you a basket of bread or rolls. When we ask for an extra roll we were told it would be fifty cents each. Trust me we won't be back. Not even close to good home cooking!!!!
If you like it...
If you like the food and atmosphere, that's all that really counts. So enjoy.
.

Have enjoyed many breakfasts here but they now have the worst coffee in Atlanta. Don't intend to return!
MTG BROKER
I HAD NOT EATEN THERE IN SOME TIME AND HAD FORGOTTEN HOW REALLY TERRIFIC THEIR FOOD IS. GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND EXCELLENT FOOD AND BEST OF ALL THE VARIETY.
EXCELLENT!

The OK Cafe is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta! They have the BEST triple cheese macaroni! Ive never had such good macaroni in my life! I also love their cornbread rolls! SO GOOD!
Simple is sometimes better.
I expected a more consevative restaurant. However, the service was very good. Being a vegetarian, I also expected them not to cater to my special desires, yet they had veggies sides that was simply delicious. I ordered the mac/cheese, broccoli, and mp/gravy. Oh my God, I personaly am pretty hard to please sometimes, but I was delightfully impressed with Ok Cafe' so much that I intend to order a meal for my Xmas dinner. Hopefully, they cater food.
I will be back again and again...
Cathe BEST BREAKFAST in Atlanta!
My dad and I have gone every other Saturday morning to the OK Cafe for six years now. It's by far the best breakfast in town. I alternate between the buttermilk pancakes and a classic eggs, toast, grits, and bacon combo -- both meals are delicious and filling. Plus, you can't beat the vintage "Everything's OK at the OK Cafe" atmosphere -- fun music, plush red vinyl booths, and wacky folk art.
