Great place just to hang out.

Mary's is a neigborhood gay bar for East Atlanta. Its your basic water-hole. East Atlanta is know for its "grundge" feel and Mary's is no different. It is not a glamrous place. Mary's is far from most of the other bars in Atlanta... Keep that in mind if you are planing to drink and drive to another bar.

PROS: Video, drinks, Kareoke saturdays, come as you are place
CONS: Smokey, can get very crowded at times, hole in wall, far from other bars.

Overall this is a great bar and it gets festive after 8:30pm on weekends.
As for some of the other post on here, they really raked Marys over the coals for stuff that Marys is not pretending to be ( vicious queens ). If you want trendy, then go to Blakes.

Always a great time! Great music and amazing videos. Cheap/ strong drinks. Bartenders and patrons are always welcoming and nice. NOT like any gay bar out there, thank baby jesus. AND, BTW, there are no rats nor any other pests in that place, besides that person who made up that horrible review.

This hole in the wall fire hazard bar is a disgrace. It's a fire hazard. The exit doors open inwards. You're lucky if one of the two unisex toilets is working. It's just sad.

I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN ,THE BARTENDERS ARE RUDE.THE PLACE HAS RATS ONE WAS RUNNING AROUND ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND SO WAS EVERYONE ELSE WAS RUNNING TO GET OUT.GIVES ME GOOSE BUMPS. ...NASTY

I Just moved from Midtown to East Atlanta. I have been to Marys a few times with friends and had a relatively good time. It is a wide mix of people. The kareoke leaves alot to be desired. They really need to do a remodel in there. It is a bit run-down.People are generally friendly. I'll go back again.

Fun, easy crowd. Good place to meet hot rock guys and anybody else a little left of center. Only bar like this in the city.

It's not worth the trip.

This is quite possibly the WORST bar I've ever been to. I went twice hoping the second time would be better than the first. The staff is rude and if you're not a regular, you can forget about getting any quality service. Were I forced to choose between this place and a shot in the foot with a gun, I'd take the shot in the foot.

I had the best time here. I came here the same night I went to Mary's and I had more fun here. Still jammed packed like Mary's, but a lot more fun. I'd go here before a lot of other places in atlanta.
