After the first restaurant opened in 1997, J. Christopher's has quickly grown and established itself as a major breakfast and lunch restaurant chain. Started by restaurateur Jay McCann and Christopher Brogdon, who also owns Christopher's Art Gallery, the chain now has locations in various shopping centers north of the perimeter. The cuisine is everything you would expect from a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food.

Highly recommended is the Pantry Feast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc.), which will start your day right -- in fact, you may not have to eat for the rest of the day. If you decide to return for lunch, however, J. Christopher's has sandwiches, soup, salads and stir fries, among many other menu items. The decor depends on the location and most locations have meeting rooms that will hold 20 to 40 people for that important business breakfast or lunch. -- Tim Griggs

  • Good Food/ But Loud!!

    J. Christopher's has a bright, cheery, refreshing decor, but the atmosphere is VERY LOUD!!! The Food is good, and the server was especially helpful in suggesting a less expensive alternative. The prices are a litte high but the food is delicious!!! The fruit I had was not ripe at all, so that was a disappointment.

This restaurant is just a step up from Waffle House.

The Alpharetta location has a great staff that provides great service. The food is great and the atmosphere is also very upbeat. I go to J. Christophers all the time and I really enjoy it. I think it is one of the best places for breakfast around. Especially the Alpharetta location. On Sundays there is usally a wait, but it is worth waiting.

I have always enjoyed J. Christopher's food. I love that the place isn't dark and closed in. Yes, it is upscale for breakfast, but that is just what I need for business meetings- not too fancy, not too casual! The staff at the Windward location is really fast but also kind of laid back. You can tell they enjoy themselves!

Took an out of town guest here for brunch and she was impressed. Loved the fare and the atmosphere.

food is consistantly good. We have never had a bad meal, no matter what we order. The decor and pictures are bright and cheery. Overall a great deal for the money. Try it, you will like it.

Maybe the Alpharetta location is good but BEWARE of the historic Roswell one. SLOW service, nasty lattes, creme brulee french toast -gag! -and guess what? we saw a rat in the hole in the wall on the way back from the scary bathroom. No kidding. Felt sick for days!

I can make what Waffle House can in my own kitchen. When we want to be treated to breakfast we go to J. Christophers. The atmosphere is funky and upbeat and the food is great. They have awesome specials (gingerbread waffles, skillet dishes with hollandaise and sundried tomatoes, creme brulee french toast). It is more expensive than Waffle House but so is Arby's!!!

We went to the Alpharetta location right after it had first opened a few years ago. It was very crowded and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. After a long wait, our food finally arrived. We were disappointed with the quality of the food; it was nothing special, and over-priced. Hence our nickname for the place, "J. Crappy's." You're better off going to the SunRise Cafe or the nearby bagel joint if you want a satisfying breakfast!
