The feud between lovers of Chicago-style and New York-style pizza will likely rage until cheese is eradicated from the planet, but if you're a fan of the thin, crispy and tomatoey version from the Big Apple, this place is for you. Inside the humble digs off busy Fairbanks Avenue, a small dining area with black-and-white checkered floors and framed photos of Brooklyn sets the tone for dine-in patrons, though most get their palate-pleasing pies delivered or pick 'em up themselves. Traditionalists will savor every bite of the margherita (tomato, basil) and bianca (ricotta, garlic, no sauce) pizzas, though the barbecue chicken pizza, with cheddar, mozzarella and red onion, is equally satisfying.
Toppings are voluminous and include specialty items such as chorizo, capicolla, eggplant and zucchini, and the tomato sauce is homemade and different from sauce used in other menu items. An assortment of specialty dinners from cheese ravioli to veal parmigiana are also offered, as are lunch-time meals such as hot subs, fajita wraps and calzones. If you need to cap your filling meal off with something sweet, try one of their Italian ices or the homemade cannoli.

Brroklyn Pizza is a family tradition
Our family loves Brooklyn Pizza. We used to eat at their other location near the arport on Pershing for years. We live in Winter Park so we were so happy to see one open up a few years back. Carmelo Gagliano the original founder had the best reciepies for suace. We would buy sauce to take home. The staff is real nice too.

This survey is not complete! It does not include Goodfella's on the corner of Alafaya and HWY 50 (E. Colonial) in Union Park. Goodfella's has the most authentic N.Y. Style pizza in Orlando. Brooklyn Pizza is good, but Goodfella's is great!

Hit or miss
I have lived in Collage Park for some time. I was happy when I found Brooklyn Pizza Works at 1881 W Fairbanks Av. What a great pizza I thought the first time I ordered. Unfortunately that is not always the case. More often then not the pizza as well as the rest of their offerings are not good at all. Last night is a prime example. After ordering on-line as usual a young girl called questioning our location, she had never heard of College Park proceeding to sound like it was my fault she was clueless. An hour later the order arrived, well announced, the broken muffler was trumpeting his approach blocks away as he drove back and forth looking for our well marked, well lit home.
The worst part is yet to come, the pizza was not what was ordered, (the nice thing about ordering on-line is you can go back and verify what was ordered). It was lacking in taste and very dry. The garlic bread was disgusting; it was an undercooked, soggy mess. We did have a good laugh about it however. Then there was the ravioli! That sauce tastes like ketchup. It was just simply bad.
On the positive side the salad was very good, fresh, with the dressing on the side.
ItÂs just a sham because sometimes they get it right but mostly itÂs just bad. I understand everybody has an off day, for Brooklyn Pizza Works it seems to be the norm.poor hygiene and service

I was there last evening, at the branch near the airport. The pizza was good, but the service was poor. I was trying to give the order, and the lady at the cashier was cutting me off every 2 seconds very abruptly. I thought.....gee, I grew up in the Bronx and we had better manners than that ! Also, I was grossed out by what was going on in the kitchen. All 3 of the " cooks " had no gloves on and were eating constantly, putting food into their mouths with their fingers as they were preparing food and pizza for the customers. The kitchen is easily visible from the table and waiting area. As good as the pizza was, I will never go back there, and I live in Orlando. Cleanliness and manners counts for something !

Wife Loved It
Im confused. Bkly Pizza place I ate does not look like picture.
We ate at a place about a mile from the Hertz rental place near the airport. Across the street is a Chinese buffet that tried to be cute when the wife asked if they use MSG. They said NO. She than said she has very bad food allergies and would sue if she gets sick. They changed their story and thats how we had pizza just a short block away. The owner from pizza said he is from NJ..
So I guess theres more to this story/picture. Pizza was great, I just dont know where I ate it. Bob & Rita Goldstein
Phoenix, ArizonaBrooklyn Pizza
As a " Brooklyn Guy" one day I was driving along Fairbanks and saw Brooklyn Pizza. I thought to myself are they just using the name "Brooklyn" to attract us transplants or are they really from Brooklyn. When I walked in I saw pictures of my beloved "Brooklyn" on the walls. after talking to one of the workers I was told the owner was indeed from "Coney Island". I ordered my pizza and guess what?? it was just as good as Brooklyns pizzerias. I have been back many times and recommeded it to all my friends. Keep up the good pizza.
5 mile radius is BOGUS!
I have to agree with the last review given, I was dissappointed when I called for delivery that they don't deliver to my area. I live In Rosemont they are in Fairbanks. I did a mapquest and it's approximately 3 miles away.
I went to the Restaurant on Fairbanks and specifically asked how far they deliver and with a big smile on their faces they told me 5 MILES!
The manager lost his business with us and I'll make sure to tell everyone else that delivery is not their SPECIALTY! Especially if you don't live within the vecinity of Fairbanks.
