Windy City touts itself as Tampa's original gourmet pizza restaurant. With a huge menu and spacious dining room, Windy City is a staple of North Tampa. The restaurant is a mix of a pizza parlor and sports pub, with its multiple televisions and tables scattered about inside and outdoors. The beer and wine make the pizza taste that much better.
With more than 65 toppings, you'll find anything from smoked gouda and anchovies to Canadian bacon and lobster. The menu is packed with different specialty choices, all carefully named to match the restaurant's Chicago theme. An abundance of healthy pizza combinations lets you have your pizza made with or without sauce, pan style or thin crust. Pizza sizes range from 10 to 14 inches. The menu also offers appetizers, calzones, salads, sandwiches and pastas. - Shari Missman Miller

Too Bad
Windy City always had excellent food and service. TOO BAD THEY ARE CLOSED!!!!!
Add CommentIt is 1 of the top 3 pizzas I have ever eaten.
Anyone who says this pizza taste like vomit must be very jealous. I have eaten pizza from all over. Italy, Greece, New York, Chicago and many other places. The only Pizza that is better than this Pizza is authentic Greek pizza. This is the best pizza in Tampa Bay. This is not a fad pizza diner. It is fabulous. It is great. It is very affordable. It is fantastic pizza. I rate it as 1 of the top three pizza places in america.
TASTES LIKE VOMIT
Sorry....I'm FROM the Windy City (Chicago) and have had Tampa's Windy City Pizza. If this is the best they have, then they REALLY don't know what a Pizza is supposed to taste like. It tasted like it had already been eaten and thrown up.
tasty combinations but way too pricy

Windy City is a great cult pizza- you try a couple combinatuions amid their large variety of ingredients however as time goes on you realize your not eating pizza your consuming mixtures of ingredients which could have just as easily come from Picadilly cafeteria except at Picadilly you spend half the money and are always full. Once the novelty wears off and you realize you could have bought a car for the price of 5 or 6 pizzas- you happily go somewhere else. Sure it's been around for 15 years- but it is still just a fad pizzeria in a tourist driven town
Best Pizza In Tampa
I've been going to Windy City Pizza for years. It's the BEST. Great flavor. I'm from New York and it compares to that quality pizza. Don't listen to the cheap loosers and babies that have slammed Windy City. If you can't afford it the buy Domino's card board. Oh yeah, I'm ordering deliver tonight. Have a great one. Ed Shell
Overpriced
I havent found very many decent chicago style pizzas in Tampa. The supreme here is pretty good but it came out to like $25 for a 8-10 inch pizza that I killed in one sitting with room for another slice. I also tried a plain cheese once to save on the dollars and it was horrible.
Best In Tampa
I'm from Chicago. Windy City has the best pizza I've found in the Tampa area.
Here's a bulletin !
Attention ! There are no good places for pizza in Tampa. They all cater to kid's tastes. In other words: Cheap ingredients. Tough crust. No Garlic. No fresh Basil and not too spicy etc.....
Windy City or Dominos ?

If you closed your eyes while eating, one would think this was Domino's pizza. If this place was in Chicago it would most certainly go out of business. Can't fool people who know good pizza with this crap. What a shame to tarnish the great name of Chicago.
