Sally O'Neal's has been winning best pizza honors for years. An architecturally pleasing one-story structure in the middle of Hyde Park restaurant row, the restaurant has its own big parking lot (a premium in Hyde Park) and plenty of dining space.

Between its restaurant dining and its delivery service, Sally's has garnered a huge following. Another good reason is the dough, made from fresh baker's yeast and high-gluten flour. The restaurant gathers its fresh vegetables from a farmers' market and make their sauces, marinades and dressings from scratch. Take, for example, chicken marinated in lemon and garlic and then poached before it's used on the pizza. Basically, everything tastes delicious because of the extra effort they put into preparation.

The menu includes specialty pizzas as well as create-your-own-pizza topping choices. Try the chicken and artichoke pizza, the barbecue chicken pizza or the sauceless pizza. Pastas and salads round out the menu. - Shari Missman Miller

Every time I have eatten there the pizza has always been the best. The help is courteous, and on the ball. The Best Pizza I have ever found even better than in Europe or Chicago. Great atmosphere even has charmihg outside dining if you like.

this pizza is super good I love their chicken barbeque pizza and their beef gorgonzola pizza. It takes them awhile sometimes to make the pizza but in the end its worth the wait.

  • Made a mistake but fixed it!

I ordered 2 large pizzas and 2 insalatas (salads) for my company, and sent an employee to pick up. We paid for what I ordered, but he came back with 2 pizzas and no salads. Called and spoke with Andrew (manager), who quickly and pleasantly credited our account. The pizzas were fabulous, as always! Especially the signature Chicken Artichoke... YUM!

The pizza is ok, but not that great. Service was horrible. The breadsticks are good.

Sally O'Neals is resting on its laurels. Service is not existant. Pizza average at best. Would not even think about going here again.
